- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am incredibly blessed to mostly book choreography gigs. Credits include: GR Civic Theater, HarkUp Choir and Music, Youth Theater Grand Rapids, Byron Center H.S.,West Catholic and Catholic Central H.S., Bayview Theater, and Fubble Entertainment. I am also a private and group instructor of dance, voice, and musical theater.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently choreographed for Hark Up Choir and Music Christmas spectacular Start a Fire, 2014. It was a blast working with so many new faces and in so many different ways, as we had a brass band, percussionists, Irish Steppers, 100person Choir, the Malia Rose dancers, Majik the magician, and featured professional singers.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I grew up dancing/singing at a very early age, which I truly believe has lead to my complete love affair with musical theater! I was proud to call Retter's Dance Center my home for the first 9 years of dance training. I then went on to train at Debbie's Dance Center, Ada Dance Academy, Grand Rapids Ballet, Academy of Performing Arts, The Boston Conservatory of Music, Point Park University C.O.P.A. dept, and numerous studios throughout NYC.
