FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Let me explain a little bit about my fee schedule before I share it with you. First, it is much much more than 30 minutes of work if you hire a professional wedding officiant. I personally have never officiated two weddings the same. Every ceremony is designed for the couple. You can incorporate so many things into a ceremony. From a hand blessing, hand fasting, roses for mothers, sand ceremony, unity candle ceremony, and many more including couples with children and special mentions for couples with deceased parents. Your family, friends, co-workers are all watching this entire ceremony. Do you want a five minute ceremony they offer at the courthouse or a beautiful ceremony with memories? I spend hours behind the scenes writing ceremonies, travel time, gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, and don’t forget I have license fee’s, taxes, and all related business fee’s. Just like any other business. I arrive early, make sure everything is ready and your ceremony runs smoothly. After, I provide postage and file your license. I have a good public speaking voice and keep your guests interested and involved. The ceremony is the beginning of your wedding celebration. It honestly sets the tone for the entire day. If it doesn’t go well your guests will carry it right into the reception and it will be the topic of conversation for quite some time trust me. Have you ever gotten all dressed up, all excited about going to see a movie or play it was a big disappointment? You remember it for a long time. That is exactly how your guests feel. Is that what you want for a memory of your most special, beautiful day? The ceremony is the reason for the gown, the flowers, the reception. Don’t be penny wise and dollar foolish. Fee Schedule $100 for weekday elopement service Mon-Thursday $150 for weekend elopement service Friday-Sunday Elopement service to be held at private residence in Cascade, MI (10 guests or less) Phone consultation only. $250 Wedding Package including: in person consultation ceremony and vows printed in a keepsake book license filed with the appropriate county clerk $50 Rehearsal Fee Travel Fee: No fee for services within 50 miles of Hemet. A non-refundable down payment of $50 is required at time of booking to guarantee my availability. Payment balance is due at rehearsal. If there is no rehearsal payment is due before ceremony. If the decision is made not to use my services after retaining of services by deposit, the couple must inform me, in writing, at least thirty days prior to the wedding date in order to release the couple from the commitment. Couple understands that in the event of cancellation, the down payment if $50 is forfeited.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally I would meet with you in person so you are able to share your vision for your wedding ceremony. Sometimes this is impossible because of time or distance so we always have the options of a phone conference. If for any reason you feel we are not a fit there is no charge for this meeting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a non-denominational ordained minister. I have 2 Bachelor's degrees in areas relating to Health and Human Services and I have officiated 100's of weddings over the last 15 years.
