I have worked with other trainers for almost 20 years. They taught me how to get my dog to "sit", but not much else. Dawn's level of experience, knowledge & understanding of dogs continually blows my mind. Every single week, I walk away with new information. Dawn dives into the "why" of the dogs behavior, and teaches the owner how to understand & communicate with their dogs at a deep level. Best money I've ever spent!

Erica was outstanding helping us to integrate an adult dog, with lots of energy and enthusiasm, into our house that already had two cats who do not like change! She created a thorough plan and helped us to implement this plan at each step. As new challenges or situations arise she is always willing to offer helpful advice and tips. I would highly recommend her!

I have experience with dogs and cats, and enjoy animals and making sure they are well cared for while their owners are at work or on vacation! I also understand pets with medical needs.

My passion is pet care. I have grown up around all different kinds of animals. I will be going to school to become a vet. So, if you ever need a little help with your pets, I am the one to help you! I have a dog of my own. Just contact me if interested!

KK provides in-home training, consulting, and the much needed advice for many owners who need help in understanding their canine partners. We also provide dog sitting in our home. We offer consultations on behavior, nutrition, health and understanding. She has been to numerous clinics on dog behavior. Her most beneficial being the clinics held by a Canadian trainer. In order for you and your dog(s) to have a successful relationship, you need to understand how a dog thinks and what he/she needs. This is something we would love to help with. There's nothing better than a "talking dog."

I have the time and patience to work with any dog, from aggression to shy dogs.

We love dogs and cats and have often been in the situation where we needed someone to care for our own animals and could not find someone. We will make sure your dogs and cats are fed, watered, walked, and played with on an appropriate schedule.

Are you looking for a caring, loving person to walk, feed, play, wash, brush, or play with your pet while you are gone on vacation? Maybe you need someone to check on your pet while you are at work? I am willing to come to your house, or you can leave your pet at my house. Either way, you won't have to worry about your pet being lonesome and sad in a traditional kennel.

Thanks 🙏 and we all good 😊 said yes we are you too but I guess we should go out to eat and you have guys that your roof will help us out and your house 🏡 is a siding

I treat their animals as if they were mine. I treat them as special pets taking them for at least two daily walks when I stay at the house, make sure they stay in the environment they are used to when I stay at their house, I charge less than the local kennels and their pets are not put at risk for catching an illness due to kenneling.

I watch, play, walk and love all pets. I love staying active and being around animals. I would treat your pet as if it were my own.

If you want a hard worker who will take care of your pet, clean your home, or just help you out in general, I am your girl! When I set my mind to something, I don't back down. I love to help others and would love to give you a helping hand!

I know that it is very important to walk, love and feed dogs daily, and due to work schedules/vacations, owners can't always be there. That's when I come in. I love dogs.

I have been a volunteer at our local SPCA for over a yr now working very closely with the dogs and cats there...

My motto is to always stay safe, but to have a fun time. To me, pets are like children. They deserve just as much kindness and respect as a child does.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
