The landscaping couldn't have been better. The work exceeded my expectations. I also had dry wall repaired, and a new bathroom faucet installed. Gary did a great job putting up hangers and garage hooks in my garage too. I will be calling him for ANY projects at my home.
Micheal came out and installed a garage door opener and bathroom exhaust fan, highly satisfied! Very professional! Already have a couple of projects lined up for him.
These two guys were the hardest and quickest workers I've ever seen. I had much more stuff for them to take than expected. They had every thing cleaned up and the garage swept very quickly. Highly recommend them.
Randy did a great job. He was very knowledgeable and polite. He made my basement perfect and ensured everything worked without issues. I'd recommend him for any home theatre projects.
Kurt does an amazing job. Our project wasn't easy; but he still managed to pull off an impressive addition to our garage. I don't think we could have asked for a better looking, more well built structure. Beyond the hard work and skill, Kurt has integrity. That's something you don't find everywhere.
DN was willing to jump right into fixing my broken garage wall in some pretty crappy weather. On the same day he came by to just assess the work. I really appreciate his flexibility as well as his understanding of the right fix I wanted.
Matt recently completed several projects for me around my home, and I am very pleased with the results. On the outside of the house, he pressure washed the shed and sidewalk along with my picnic table and swing--they look brand new! He also replaced some cedar siding boards on the house that were destroyed by woodpeckers and the brick molding around my garage and service door where sections were rotting out. He then painted everything to match. Inside my home, he installed a custom display cabinet and shelving in my office, and inserted a decorative medallion over the ceiling fan--covering up a hole that was cut too big for the electrical box. Matt also painted my storage shed, front door, trim molding, and even some lawn furniture. He has a great sense of humor and an easy going disposition. He is very knowledgeable in many aspects of the trade and offers suggestions based on his experience that have proved to be very positive. I would recommend Matt to anyone who is in need of a handyman. I have several more projects to be done around my house, and look forward to working with him again soon.
Initial response within one hour. Advanced to phone conversation. Arranged install after price quote. Took on additional work at the scene. Arrived on time. Excellent value. Will use this company again.
Keith and his team were prompt and professional in the removal of junk from our garage. I recommend them highly!
Tomas, with TC Renovations, came to my rescue two months or so ago after I posted a help needed ad on the Nextdoor app. If I recall correctly, my ad stated: "Crashing gutters, need help" or something to that effect. He came over, was able to restore, replace, repair (all of the above) various gutters and then expressed concern about the lethal icicles hanging down from the roofline. That opened up a whole new conversation as to the poor ventilation and insulation of my 100 year old home, as well as his concern that the massive icicles could be damaging my roof. Years ago I had received a quote for fixing all of my ventilation and insulation woes, and don't recall how much it was for, except that it was going to cost an arm and a leg, and at that time I had neither to spare. Tomas thoroughly maneuvered his way through the various nooks and crannies of the attic area, measured, took photos, found leaks, damaged rafters and other areas of concern, then later that evening wrote up an extremely detailed email outlining all of the work that needed to be done to make my home a whole lot cozier, not to mention safer. I appreciated the way he broke things down into chunks and provided options, depending on how much I wanted or was able to spend. He did some of the work on evenings and Saturdays, and the bulk of it while I was at work on two separate Tuesdays. The house was empty but I had nary a fear about leaving it open to him. I ended up paying for every option he outlined on the list, as it all just made sense and, although I did not request a second opinion, felt his quotes were reasonable. He finished in a reasonable amount of time. His communication (text, email, in person) was excellent. He bulked up the insulation in my home from way below code (R12) to above code (R61) - and wow can I tell the difference! He was able to provide photos of the various repairs and work he did. The attic is now vented and filled with new insulation, the various openings that had been gaping and drafty with old insulation spilling out are now sealed, tidy and neatly framed in with wood. In fact, I commented on one of the attic closures he built, and his response was, in essence: "I care about my work and want things to look good." I plan to hire Tomas in the future for additional work on this old house. In fact, I take comfort in knowing that I can call on someone like Tomas and trust that he will do a great job at a fair price.
Start Date: 10/27/2017 End Date: 04/25/2018 Project: Adding a 12’ X 31’ 3rd Garage Stall I would recommend Ruby Construction for your construction needs. The owner, Bill was very courteous and good to work with. The workers were all nice and respectful to me and my property during the course of the job. Bill was willing to work with me in regards to changes in the original plan and reasonable in correcting any problems that arose (which were not many). I have not had any direct experience with hiring a contractor for a project. So I only knew what to expect going in to this from what I have heard from others (in reference to working with contractors in general). I was pleased with the work that was done and with the minimal issues that can happen with any project. I would have liked to see more communication from the contractor as far as updates and the plan for the progress of the project on a weekly basis. This is more personal preference than a problem with the contractor. I would get all of the information I requested when I contacted him. The projected timeline was exceeded by a lot because of the unusually long winter weather we experience this year. Overall, I am happy with the work that was done and how the completed project ended up. Thank you Ruby Construction for a job well done.
I hired Tony Riste and his son numerous occasions all of which were positive experiences. They were professional and dependable. I hired them to install a power vent water heater, two ceiling fans, my bathroom tile, laminate flooring and my living room base trim. They also resided my garage and put in new windows. They have done excellent work for my friends and my family too.
Timely responses to my inquiries and a very professional job done with repairing our garage door! Highly recommend!
Great Price and Top Notch Service I just got done working with J & B Improvements during the construction of a new deck, and I have to say I am quite content with my results. I began the process by contacting 4 competing contractors in our area, including J&B Improvements, trying to find out who could give me the best bang for my buck. The J&B guys wound up getting the job due to their excellent price, extensive and up to date licenses, and the professionalism they exuded which some of the other contractors simply did not. In this awful economy, however, the biggest plus in their favor was the affordable quote they gave me. While quality and professionalism is important, unfortunately raw prices played an equally substantial role in helping me decide who to use. I think I got lucky, as this company is one of the few diamonds in the rough that doesnt suffer in terms of quality despite being the cheaper bidder. After the easy part, came the hard part: actually building the deck. Their workers consistently arrived very early and stayed until the end of the day, they were funny guys who I had some great conversations with. The best part, however, was the fact that I was allowed on the site of the building, which was important to me because I liked making sure the project was going in the right direction. At one point, in the middle of the decks construction, I decided I wanted to add something new. I was at first adamant about this, since I thought it would throw the contractor off or cost me a fortune, but actually they were very eager to hear what I wanted and did the accentuation for a very decent rate. I will definitely save J&B Improvements to my little book for my future needs, and I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for that rare affordable quality in a market full of sketchy companies, rip-offs, and inappropriate practices.
We had our two garage doors replaced and a new vent area made in the basement for the dryer. He did an excellent job replacing our old doors including concrete work. The garage was spotless when he was done and he saved us money on the better quality doors. The vent area was also very nicely done. We had someone try to break in after new doors were placed and he came over and repaired the door at no cost, thats the kind of service everyone appreciates. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work.
Jason came on a Saturday and installed a new garage door opener. He was very professional and did a great job!
Lee Purches did a great job repairing the rotting wood around the garage door and above. He is a perfectionist, knows everything about construction, and very polite. We are glad we used Mr. Purches.
Great Lakes Garages and Jake always do a phenomenal job with their garage door services. Their price quotes are very reasonable and stay accurate to the services provided. Great Lakes Garages doesn’t sell you on parts or services you don't need. They are a good local business that is enjoyable to work with.
We hired Nick to work with husband to clean out garage from a mouse invasion. He arrived on time and ready to work, and did what my husband needed help with. Nick was very pleasant to work with. We hired him again to work on deck and seal it. I would definitely hire Nick again!
