Just had one lesson but very impressed so far ! Very patient and dedicated passionate teacher for my age of 54!! Very flexible with my request ! Highly recommend!
Lyndsie is AMAZING!! Our daughter took piano lessons from her for approximately 1 1/2 years, and she absolutely loved her!! We were amazed at how our daughter's piano-playing ability progressed in a relatively short amount of time. I HIGHLY recommend Mrs. Messer to anyone seeking piano lessons -- at any level.
Not being your typical student, I had a really hard time trying to find a knowledgeable instructor that would accommodate my crazy schedule. As I was just about to give up I came across an add on Craig's List and scheduled a meeting. After reviewing his resume and listening to him play I was very impressed. He gave me several options from traditional lessons to just jam sessions. I took kind of a hybrid approach, and have been taking lessons from Travis for more than 2 years now. A fantastic instructor with an infectious passion for music. So if you are looking for lessons, I'd highly recommended Travis Root.
Daniel is a wonderful Piano Teacher and awesome Piano player. He is very sharp on getting you to execute what he is teaching, and confident in his abilities. He has an excellent gift and brings out the best of whom ever he is teaching.
Our daughter has been taking piano lessons with Lindsey for one year. She has learned far more in that time than she did with her previous instructor in four years. Lindsey is so encouraging and patient and makes learning fun!
Both my husband and my six year-old daughter have received lessons from Joseph, and we have been very happy. For my husband, who played many years ago but took a long break, Joseph did a great job of identifying the level that my husband was playing at, and developing a lesson plan to correct some old (bad) habits and getting him progressing again. For my daughter, who hadn't played before, Joseph recommended an appropriate set of materials that starts from the very basics, and he is working with her in a lighthearted, patient way to help her enjoy the piano while developing a skill set. We've enjoyed working with Joseph.
I teach piano and pipe organ as well as music theory and composition. My students range in age from 6 to 76. I teach beginners of all ages as well as advanced students.
Your first lesson is free. We offer lessons on guitar, piano, drums, voice, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, and more.
I am a freelance jazz musician in the Michigan area. I am proficient in all forms of music, but I enjoy and am best at playing jazz, soul, hip-hop and funk. I am available for any sort of performance. I can construct a group upon request (i.e., trio, quintet, etc.). I am also available for private lessons on upright and electric bass, piano and keyboards, drum set and percussion and guitar. My main instrument and/or what I studied in university is upright bass, so naturally, I would be able to help most in that area. That being said, I play the drums and the piano professionally as well. All the best, Aidan Cafferty
I am eager to help students achieve their goals and realize their potential.
I have been teaching piano lessons for over 30 years and have a bachelors degree in Music Education. I have taught Elementary Music at Genesee Christian School for twenty years and still teach private piano lessons there. I have had some of my students go on to college performance levels in music and even now teaching some of their children:) My husband and I currently serve at Trinity Baptist Church where I serve as Sunday morning Pianist and church choir accompanist. I am also involved in children’s music ministries there:). I love teaching children and am so thrilled with the opportunities that I have to see them learn and grow in the areas of music!
I am a student doing a Doctral Music of Arts degree at Michigan state university, and my major is Classical piano. I'm willing help you to play your "dream piece" by piano, or improve your technique, or prepare for a concert, from basic to advanced level. I also can accompany if you are looking for a pianist. I have experiences playing with strings/woodwinds/brass/voice, so I'm flexible to play with your instrument. I can play solo piano in your party/wedding or any types of chances too. Please feel free to contact me, I'm an open person, and would love to have lesson/play with you!!!
I enjoy one-on-one teaching with students of all ages. I've just retired from 30 years of college teaching, but have also taught children and adults in my home studio. I'm just reopening my home studio after a season of focusing on my college teaching. Music theory, piano, and music composition are my passion. I have a Master's degree in music theory and a Ph.D. in music composition from Michigan State University. I will focus on whatever your passion may be while working with you.
I provide lessons for students that range from beginner to advanced levels. I travel to you, as long as you own the instrument you are planning to study. I can assist students in reading, understanding theory, and even writing their own musical scores! Every lesson is personalized for that particular student and, if desired, can be geared in any direction they so choose --recording, theory, song choice, electronic additions, producing, etc. I am very open to adjusting my lesson plan to fit your personal style. As for myself, I have been playing piano and guitar for the longest, but I consider myself a drummer at heart. I have played with many live acts, released a number of recorded albums (some solo and some with groups), and most recently, I've been playing with the touring act, Stikyfut, as their drummer/backup vocalist. Music has taught me so much. It has led me to many adventures, introduced me to so many interesting people, and caused me to think introspectively about my life and the world that I can hand over to future generations. Hopefully, through providing lessons to students now, I can pass along the same love and excitement I have for music to these kids. My rates are $25/half hour lesson and $45/hour lesson.
I provide piano instruction for all ages, beginner to late intermediate. Learning to make music is a valuable skill; it is a way of expressing one's self. Research has shown that the study of music does the following: Boosts wholesome public interaction Correlates positively with increased science and math aptitudes, SAT scores and verbal memory Guides and promotes discipline and perseverance Each and every individual can enjoy and learn music, regardless of their age! It's not too early or too late to start learning.
I am currently an Alma College Student who studies Music Theory and helps other musicians on guitar. I have studied for many years and still do. I feel that I can help other guitarist find their own light because I have been there. I didn't have a teacher so I learned by myself and now being colleges trained I feel that I can give valuable information to a guitarist seeking to improve.
The Piano Lady is a piano instructor looking for fun students. The Piano Lady offers piano lessons to beginners. We always urge our students to find a way to practice on a piano, not an electronic keyboard. This way, proper technique can be established right from the beginning. The lead instructor, Tina, has performed in the United States and Europe. She is classically trained, and has taught and performed for the past twenty years. She currently performs at several rehabilitation, senior and hospital centers in the area. Giving back to the community is very important to us. 10% of all money earned from lessons is donated to various charities.
I'm a teacher, piano tuner, BA and MM. I offer voice, violin, and guitar instruction services. I have soloed with Saginaw Symphony both in violin and voice. I have directed Church choirs. I am also a music teacher for 15 years and have performed with Chamber Choir of Grand Rapids and Opera Chorus of Grand Rapids.
If you're willing to work, I'm willing to work with you. Learning any instrument takes discipline and time. Don't let either of those things hold you back from having fun as well as learning and excelling at the instrument you love! I'll work with you to become well-versed in practical music theory, guitar technique, and creative writing/music composition. I'm the director of worship arts at Bethel Church in Jackson, MI, and I have the privilege of serving as worship leader. My experience ranges from private lessons, self-education, formal education, and touring applications. I love playing guitar, and I want you to as well.
I'm a patient, compassionate and kind teacher.
My personal experience within music is very broad stylistically and across several instruments with an in depth understanding of music theory.
