Barbara came to our house to help us with our German Shepherd. We rescued our year and a half old GS from a shelter. I'll start this review by explaining what behaviors our dog needed to work on. He would play bite, he wouldn't listen when called, and would tug on his leash NON-STOP when on a walk. He was never aggressive towards us, but he would play bite. Barbara showed us how to get our dog to make eye contact with us, she showed us a variety of training methods to practice with our dog, and she showed us how to be in control when on a walk. We saw major improvements in the dogs attitude towards us within the first session. He no longer play bites, and with all the training methods Barbara showed us our dog is on his way to becoming an extremely well behaved dog. Barbara's session was extremely informative and fun for us and for our dog. We now have a much better understanding of our dog. I highly recommend Barbara to others, she's an expert and knows what shes doing when it comes to dog training and general dog behavior.
Jessica is knowledgeable, professional, patient, and easy to work and talk to. She lets you know how you can help your dogs, offers attainable goals for training, and offers hope that the behavior can be corrected. We had tried a different service recommended by our vet. One session left me feeling like a horrible person with little to no hope of our dogs being under conto without a constant battle of wills. I wish I'd known about Jessica then. She helped us understand our dogs, gave advice and exercises we can work on, and answered our questions. We can't wait for our next session with Jessica!
Prompt, courteous and caring about all of my animals.
I used the immersion training as I had two female dogs, 7 and 3, that had their first fight a year ago, followed by one a few months later, then about six months after that two fights, one severe enough to have two bloody dogs. I knew I needed some serious help, and after talking with their trainers, we chose this option. The change when they got home was very noticeable. It wasn't the idea of correcting the dogs when aggression was shown, but redirecting their heads to acceptable behavior. The added benefit of the dogs heeling nicely, and the other commands taught is good. ,
We have a Great Dane puppy and when she was about 6 to 7 months old she started to display some rough/mildly agressive behavior. We tried other training methods, but our Vet recommended Dave at K9. After an evaluation our puppy started 2 weeks of behavior training. The difference was amazing, we are very happy with the results. Our puppy is now 18 months old and just under 100 lbs and we have continued with K 9 for daycare. She loves the people at K9 and the socialization with the other dogs.
I have known Patty for years and have learned a lot of great training skills from her and have used her a number of times for dog sitting. She is an exceptional person, trainer and animal lover.
Valerie's class was wonderful. I am more confident with my dog Mina. We have learned quite a bit in 6 weeks. Best part is I looked forward to class on Wednesday evenings because we were having fun while learning. I highly recommend taking this class with Valerie and we plan to sign up for more of her classes. No doubt our dog and her humans have benefited from this class. Thank you Valerie.
Barbara Jo is the best dog sitter ever. Warm, compassionate and knowledgeable about animals. Reliable and trustworthy. She is devoted to animals and to their care. Deserves a GOOD job.
We attended some classes at MDT with Michael and Wendy in the summer of 2014. Our dog Casey has made leaps and bounds improvements in his behavior thanks to MDT!
Patty's trained both my dogs and they adore her, she has a wonderful way with animals. I would definitely recommend her.
Amanda is reliable and responsibile with a passion for animals. She treats my animals like they are her own. I would highly recommend Amanda as a caretaker for your furry friends!
Been leasing with the people here for a couple of years now. Management is open, approachable, knowledgeable and professional. This barn has provided an excellent avenue to my teenage daughter for improving horsemanship, learning and implementing natural training methods and spending lots of time learning all the care that these animals require. More like extended family than just a boarding/training facility. Lessons on sound horses are excellent for the beginner rider, and leasing offers options for those with more experience who can ride without a trainer present which really increases rider performance and ability. I can't say enough about this barn. Come see for yourself! :)
Hi, there! I have had a variety of different animals all my life. I used to work for a few different pet stores and learned a lot from those jobs. I grow up with German shepherds since I was little. I have a Great Pyrenees that will be three years old in August and have had her since she was three months old. I trained and socialized her myself, and she's a very well-behaved dog. I have a cat and a lizard. I love all animals. Whatever you need, I can help. Price varies depending on the level of care and number of pets. Hope to hear from you soon.
I love animals! I have one fur baby of my own. I have dog sat for dogs requiring medicine in the past.
I am an all-weather dog walker and trainer. I treat them as if they are my very own. I love working with and being around dogs, but I care for all critters! I have a four-year-old daughter who share the same love for animals and will more than likely be with me if my service is requested. Thank you for your time. I hope to gain your business!

I do animal sitting, and I wouldn't mind cleaning a little. I love animals and would love to take care of them since I can't have my own right now.
My Philosophy: Animals are sensitive with real needs and emotions. They need safety through love, kindness, compassion, structure, leadership and patience, as well as to have a safe surrounding, and it's up to us to provide it. Animals convey their moods with vocal tones (different tones for different needs and emotions) and body languages (stance, eyes, relaxed or taut posture, and tail language). They feel safest with a human who is foremost a true leader who knows how to lead with a relaxed, calm and assertive manner, by guiding through positive reinforcement with a steady and firm tone and not yelling (makes them feel insecure and unsafe). Animals react to our energy -- good human energy attracts positive animal behavior, and bad human energy attracts negative animal behavior. Every animal has its own personality that needs to be understood and appreciated. Animals should be regarded first with compassion, amusement and humor and never with a bad temper by a human. The proper amount of structure should always be implemented. Most humans need training in how to relate with the instincts of their animal friends than the animals need training in how to be an animal. My commitment as a caregiver to you is that I will be attentive and respectful of any needs that your animal friend has, respect and follow your guidelines with regard to animal boundaries (in house and out of house) and instructions given by you about acceptable behavior and follow without deviation any boundaries that you have regarding your animal friend. I promise to be their next best friend. It breaks my heart when I hear about mistreated and abused animals. If you are looking for someone trustworthy and responsible and who will be attentive to the needs of you and your animal friends, please get in touch with me. I always enjoy making new friends (two legged and four). PS: I have been blessed to have an experience with a house filled with three giant breed dogs, one medium-sized dog, 14 cats, three hamsters, two fishes, and one parakeet, at different times, of course!
I have such a passion for animals, and I have been around dogs my entire life. I can do anything, from walking to feeding and brushing!
