Introduction: Hello, I am Darryl Cunningham, Jr. I have been personal training for over 17 years, and work with adults and children as young as 7 years old. I have an ACE certification and work with people of all ages, so fitness levels, including children with disabilities or recovering from injuries.  I am a seasoned professional boxer and have been boxing most of my life. I have over 40 wins and enjoy teaching the technique to others, ensuring they learn safely and proper form. I proudly served in the U.S. Marine Core, and learned hand-to-hand combat as part of my training.  The Core also helped cement the importance of discipline, consistency, and teamwork, all of which I incorporate into personal training with all my clients. I want to help fight childhood obesity and help change lives. I have helped hundreds of people loose weight, become stronger and achieve a healthier lifestyle. Whether you are new to fitness, or want to jump into cardio boxing, I can push you to get to the next level. Your first 30 minute session is FREE. I train clients daily at Powerhouse Gym in Southfield MI. I am also available to train virtual. Please contact me today.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

As a trainer, it's important for me to start off by understanding my clients goals and current ability. After we discuss goals, we work out a recommended plan towards those goals after our first session. I monitor my clients strength/fitness level through a full workout, which touches all muscle groups, which helps me understand their strengths and weaknesses, and what areas we should focus on going forward. From there we create a schedule that works for them and get to work!
