My 4-year-old son has been taking piano lessons with Maisy from Pathway. Maisy is fun, flexible, and patient with younger students. At such a young age, my child has learned songs and theory following Maisy's instruction. The benefits of working with Pathway Music are having a teacher matched to your student based on readiness and in-home lessons. I would highly recommend Pathway Music, Maisy in particular, if you're looking for lessons for young children!
Lessons was perfect for a beginner guitar player. Matt is awesome!
Fantastic! My husband and I are not musical, and were not raised in musical homes, so when our daughter started to take violin lessons there was a lot of apprehension, particularly with her young age. Dr. Lamb taught her violin and taught us how to help and be supportive. She has been a great influence, patient and kind, while still understanding how to push her forward. She is a clear communicator and sets both short term and long term goals in order to keep practice fresh and fun, while still allowing for the kids to reach their potential.
Lynn has been giving my daughter piano lessons for over 4 years and I have found her to be a caring and passionate instructor, who has a gift to share as a music instructor. Her gentle yet consistent approach has provided a lot of instruction for my daughter and she has been able to correct some bad habits developed during her time with other instructors.
Dawne is teaching violin to my 10 year old granddaughter....she is amazing....very inspirational and encourage....
I took mandolin lessons with Charlotte for many months. She knows her music theory, she is non-judgmental, kind and patient. I've had many a music teacher and she is the only person I have enjoyed taking lessons from.
My 12 & 15 year old sons took beginner guitar lessons with Rachel. I was impressed with what they learned and the price could not have been better. They were motivated and looked forward to their lessons. I liked how she set up the schedule in the beginning of the summer and provided options for any of our normal days that wouldn't work. I wish I had also signed another of my kids up for piano. I chose Rachel because the price was right and I wanted to gauge their interest levels. We will return to Rachel because the price is good AND she's a good music instructor who kept the kids motivated.
David has been a wonderful violin instructor and mentor to our son. David has provided private lessons and summer camp opportunities that have been outstanding. Our son's technique and musicality increased due to David's instruction. Most importantly, our son's love of music has deepened under David's guidance.
Mary came to my house to instruct me playing the violin. She came for 5 lessons as I just wanted a basis to start from. Mary was reliable and communicated when different arrangements were necessary. I learned a lot in my short time with Mary and feel confident I am headed in the right direction now.
I took piano lessons from Ellen for some time to grow a number of musical skills that are difficult to work on as a string musician. While not a beginner to music, I didn't have much piano experience at all. Ellen was able to quickly assess things I needed to improve and gave me a lot of good strategies for practicing them. As an adult, I wanted to learn pieces and songs to play. Ellen did a great job of finding music that was interesting for an adult, while taking my playing ability into account. I'm a far more confident piano player now. Ellen was also very easy to communicate with to set up our schedule. She takes a very professional approach to the work that she does, and made learning the piano fun too!
Very welcoming and knowledgeable. Honest with what you can expect and is willing to work with you. She is a very good teacher.
She is very experienced, knowledgeable and great with my daughter, who just started violin. Her instructional approach is very positive and structured. I have nothing but good things to say.
Jim Plattes is an excellent violin teacher. I am a beginning adult violin student who requires a lot of patience. He provides a comfortable environment for learning and has given me useful instruction on developing my bowing hand, holding the violin, and developing the right tone. I recommend him highly.
Lydia Miller is a highly-skilled violin teacher, as evidenced by the many successes of her students. From winning competitions, to earning positions in top youth orchestras and the All-State orchestra, her students continue to achieve their goals. Lydia teaches students of all abilities, ages 5 through adult. Students have weekly private lessons and bi-monthly group lessons. The group lessons offer the students the opportunity to practice performing, play with other students of the same level, and have social time and support from students working towards the same goals. Students have many performance opportunities during the year, from informal recitals to nursing home performances to the annual Spring recital. Through the group classes, many students in the studio have become good friends, as they work towards common goals and support each other through the process. The parents also enjoy getting to know each other, and having other parents to reach out to when looking for support and practice incentive suggestions! For Lydia's complete bio and performance schedule, please visit her website. All potential students have a trial lesson to assess compatibility, and are invited to observe lessons and group classes prior to enrolling.

I am a professional musician and a licensed K-12 music educator, who teaches and performs on the viola, violin, and guitar. I teach all levels -- beginner through emerging professional. For the guitar, I will teach classic and acoustic to build a sound music reading foundation for expanding into different music styles and improvisation. For viola and violin, my students play in youth orchestras and chamber music with folk styles and score high at competitions. I include music theory in my teaching.
