Introduction: I have a lifetime of experience with pets of all types. I take my business seriously as I have completed the American Red Cross Pet First Aid Class, I am a well respected member of the pet community with positive relationships with vets and other quality pet services providers. I am a member of the Professional Pet Sitters of Minnesota, the National Association of Professional Pet sitters. I have spent years as very active member in the Minnesota Companion Bird Association acting as Membership Director, Board Member and 2009 President. The Pet Nannies of Minnesota Inc. is bonded and insured. I do my best to be professional, yet personal enough you can trust me to truly love your feathered, furred or finned family while you are away. My goal is to care for your finned, feathered or furred family just as you would. If you don't allow the pet on the sofa, I will do the same, if you do, no problem in my home:-) My mission is to make your time away from your finned, feathered or furred family as calm as possible. My "Heart" is in everything I do. I specialize in boarding "stressed or scared" family. Ninety-nine percent of the time I am able to calm the pet within an hour and by the time mom and dad pick them up, the pet has become part of my family. I truly want a calm, loving, safe, fun environment for the family you entrust to my care. Another mission of mine is to care for your feathered, furred, or finned family in a manner you can trust and can leave home knowing your family has the best care possible One of my favorite services I offer, (no charge), is to take pix and video (with your written permission) of the time I spend with your family in my charge and either text, email or place on The Pet Nannies of Minnesota Facebook page (with your permission) so you have a real-time idea of the fun we are having. I LOVE the fact that I can act as a temporary pet parent to my clients when mom and dad are away. I love watching them play, sleep or just relate with everyone else. I feel satisfaction when a client first comes to me and is shy and skiddish; and after a while hhas blossomed socially and emotionally.

Nobody loves your pet like you do, with the possible exception of Juli Sands. A couple of years ago I was desperate for someone to stay with my dog, Cody. I had to go out of town, and Ive tried both kennels as well as friends houses in the past. Cody was always nervous and cried almost constantly. Hes comfortable at home, only. Cody was a stray and has some anxiety, so my goal was to find someone who could stay with him. Thankfully, I found Juli. I couldnt have asked for a more caring, loving individual to take care of my boy. Juli has stayed with Cody a number of times now, and each time she has gone above and beyond my expectations. She is great with Cody and hes happy to see her every time. When I have to be gone I know that I can always count on Juli to take good care of Cody. I have no worries being away!

I had A Parrot Experience as part of my 7 year old daughter's carnival/circus themed birthday party this last Saturday. The 7 birds were the grand finale...and boy were they just that. Just when I thought the party couldn't have gone any better, the birds arrived. These little girls were beside themselves and the adults fell in love too. Julie and Tom were so informative and patient and kind with all the guests. Making this party off the charts. I am so glad I took a chance and did something different. The kids AND ADULTS will be talking about this for a long time. Thank you A Parrot Experience!!! I love the pictures you posted on your Facebook page of Finley's party.

Juli is a wonderful and reliable pet sitter. She treats our animals as if they were her own. Whenever we return from a trip they all appear to be very content and well cared for. Also she has an expertise in parrots and can care for any breed type extremely well. Juli is a gifted and caring pet sitter that we highly recommend. We have three dogs and three parrots (and she never forgets our two goldfish as well!)

We have used Juli's Pet Nannie services since last June. She has consistently provided excellent care and love for our two small dogs. They start getting excited when we get within a half mile of her place. They drag us inside with their tails wagging. This is a world of difference from other boarding and daycare options we have tried.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take reputable on-line classes and keep current on recent developments in the health, nutrition and behavioral aspects of the pets. I try to be as networked as possible to allow my clients access to as much current, reputable information as possible.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Boarding in my home, In-Your-Home care, Professional Avian grooming in your home or mine; basic canine and feline bath, brush groom; Taxi Service (ie to vet or groomer). I am very educated in the area of parrots and have a vast network of professionals that can help me aid a client in issues he/;she may have.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My professional advise is to be sure to meet them in person and see the environment your pets will be care for in. Use your "heart" when deciding on a care facility. If you have even the slightest hesitance to leave them in the persons care; keep looking. You will know when the person and facility is suitable for your pet.
