If I could select all five options, I would. Matt is very professional, courteous and responsive to communications- be it via Thumbtack, text messaging or the app we utilize. As a [repeat] beginner on my fitness journey, Matt is patient to answer my many questions both during training sessions and off the mat. Matt is punctual to all of our training sessions, and I am thankful for his understanding when my arrival is delayed due to work or other. Matt is very informative, and I certainly appreciate the education and insight he provides. I am impressed and truly appreciative of Matt's observations and feedback, as I have learned so much regarding my body's mobility and balance, areas where I need to improve strength as we progress in my fitness training, and his teaching me to learn how to control and utilize different muscles/muscle groups. Matt's high quality of work is evident in not only his professionalism and communications, but also in his customization of my training sessions and the nutrition plan he has set specific to my goals and the current state of my body, not to mention his helping me understand how the muscles/muscle groups we are working on interconnect. The fitness program Matt created for me is carefully considered to maximize my fitness training while avoiding injury or straining my body beyond my ability/comfort level. Matt truly has the heart of a teacher, genuinely cares for the health and wellness of his clients, is communicative with his team and I appreciate his motivation to help us all get going and moving! I have been training with Matt for the past One and half years, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. His expertise in strength training is evident in every session. He introduced me to a variety of exercises that kept the workouts dynamic and effective. His emphasis on proper form and technique ensured that I could train safely and efficiently, leading to significant strength gains and the coveted muscular body I aimed for. I met Matt Trusty on Thumbtack. I had reached the point when the hospital prescribed physical therapy was no longer helping me progress with my balance, range of motion, and strength. I tried to find another human to help me. Not only did I want to walk straight again - I wanted to run. My recovery was extraordinarily complex, I was recovering from cancer treatment and severe burns from a fire. Both of these physical traumas took an additional toll on my mental well being. I was instantly comfortable with Matt, jis presence instantly put me at ease. I was certain that his expertise could help me. We started meeting weekly. I got stronger and my confidence grew. Now, two years after meeting Matt, I can jump vertically onto a box that is 22 inches above the ground, row one kilometer in 5 minutes, and jog 50 meters. I am finally coming to terms with my new body, despite cancer and burn treatments causing permanent disfigurement. Being stronger has increased my confidence exponentially, thus increasing my quality of life more than words can express. Matt’s kindness, patience, flexibility, honesty, and strength have guided me to where I am now. Matt’s depth of knowledge regarding how the mind, body, and soul are connected is staggering. Matt is a great trainer, he is flexible with my schedule and comes to my house. He is always encouraging and checks in between sessions to see if I have any questions or just a reminder to do my workouts. The plans are varied and he has specifically researched and tailored some exercises for my back, since I have some issues with it and I sit at a desk for work all day. A training session with him is always fun, and he is really good at explaining the exercises and correcting my form so I understand which muscles should be engaging, which helps me get the most out of my workouts.
