The person who cleaned our carpets was WONDERFUL!! He explained why he was going to do, explained the pet stains that would not come out but he did an OUTSTANDING job on them and at the end asked me what I thought and if I had any questions. I will for sure hire them again and again!!' I've used zero Rez and this company was better than than zerorez!!! I highly recommend them for sure!!

My old rug looks new again. The colors and patterns are so bright! Love it! The cleaning took longer than expected because of the amount of pet stains, but Steve did a great job! I'd much rather wait a few extra days and have it turn out right than have it finished quickly, but poorly.

Steve arrived at my home on time, explained the procedures he uses, identified any pet stains and neutralized them, them proceeded to do a very thorough cleaning. His attention to detail is amazing and he worked nonstop for 4 hours. Steve cleaned up after the job meticulously and explained the after cleaning procedures that should be followed for the best results. He also cleaned an entire microfiber chair and foot stool for $25 dollars. His pricing was extremely fair for the work done. I would highly recommend his services

I cannot say enough about how awesome it was working with Kevin. He went above and beyond to provide a great service and top notch customer service. If you are like me, great customer service is hard to come by these days. He made all our rugs look brand new again, and got all the stains and smells out. (We've had rescue dogs, foster dogs, senior dogs and dog sit, so you can imagine how dirty our rugs were). He was fabulous about communication through the whole process. His price was excellent compared to the level of service we got, also hard to come by, nice to have our expectations exceeded. Plus he was so accommodating which made it easier for us too. We will definitely be hiring him again and letting friends and neighbors know. Thank you Maxwell Services !

Impressive, professional, courteous and efficient are all ways to describe today's service! Amy provided prompt feedback, answered questions satisfactorily and arranged a same day appointment. The technician arrived promptly, actively listened to my areas of need and confirmed before starting the services. He was friendly, informative and completed the project very timely. I was 100% satisfied with my experience from receiving a quote to completion. The price was also reasonable and exactly what was quoted. I plan to schedule White Glove for additional cleaning of carpet, ducts/furnace and removal of pet stains from hard wood floor. Will recommend to friends/family. Satisfied customer, ~Aaron PS- Wife will love the freshly cleaned carpets. Happy Mother's Day!

Johnny did an amazing job on my carpet. He was very friendly and easy going and he completed the job in a very timely manner. My carpet was pet stained from the previous owner and he was able to renew the carpet so I don't have to replace in the immediate future. His pricing is more than fair and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends. Thanks, Johnny!

Adam removed all the carpeting in my Roseville home, installed wood floors in all but bathroom (travertine) and laundry (linoleum). They moved heavy furniture for me and made sure that I could get to everything I needed (bed, bathroom), as I had to be there at night, The floors are beautiful. It took about a week. There were a couple finishing pieces that both of us had to delay the completion (done today). Most of the work was done June of 2014, took 4 days, and was well done. Everyone who's been to my home loves the floors. Adam worked hard to find products that fit my budget.

Came out on short notice to do quite a bit of carpet cleaning. He also cleaned a chair and a loveseat.. His team was professional, courteous and very, very reasonable. He removed several spots on the carpets out and took care of a pet stain. He has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and will return if there are any concerns. It is pet safe, there is no harsh chemical smell or residue. Just a fantastic looking, fresh smelling carpet. There is still such a thing as a great quality carpet cleaning at an affordable price. I am impressed.

Could have been cleaner, yet did job fast and professionally. Advertised 3 rooms for $99 and that what we had yet had to$120, might have been due to a heavy duty cleaning for pet stains, food stains and grease stains. Not sure.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

    Who cleans couches?

Even if your furniture doesn’t appear dirty or stained, your couches are collecting just as much dust, pollen, germs, pet hair and dander, and even food crumbs as your carpets. In general, the same professionals who clean your carpets and drapes can also clean your couches. Carpet cleaners usually offer upholstery cleaning services as well, and may offer a discount if you have your carpets cleaned at the same time. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of professional upholstery cleaners in your area who specialize in cleaning different types of upholstery fabrics, including delicate antique fabrics and other hard-to-clean materials such as suede. In addition to deep-cleaning the entire piece of furniture, sofa cleaners can spot-treat food, pet, and oil and grease stains. Most professionals also offer services to sanitize and deodorize your furniture and apply protectants to prevent future stains. As with carpets, experts recommend that you have your upholstered furniture cleaned once every year or two, depending on how much use it gets and whether you have children and pets.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
