Pathway music was efficient in answering all my questions. Very helpful in getting us started with music lessons and We love taking lessons from them. They are extremely flexible and let my kids dictate the pace and the instrument they want to work on that week.
I liked the fact that Alex submitted a video quote for me, he has a very professional web site and it was easy to both pay for lessons and schedule a time for a lesson. I appreciated his teaching method which takes into account the fact that I can't read music and I have not had lessons before.
I have only been taking the lessons for less than two months, but I absolutely love them! Jim is so clear in the teachings, patient, and encouraging. He is also very flexible in class timings and easily offers alternatives if one class needs to get cancelled or rescheduled. I was very nervous when I first started the classes (being almost 30 and never have had music lessons!), but Jim made everything seem so simple and achievable. He is a great instructor!
I am a woman in my 40s with very little formal vocal training. I sing very part time in a cover band (mostly 80s & 90s rock). I have had weekly half-hour singing lessons with Arlys for the past year. In just the first few months, I experienced a dramatic transformation in my voice and confidence. I have learned how to warm-up my voice, stand and breathe correctly, form vowel sounds to enhance pitch and tone, transition more easily through chest and head voice, and added at least 4 notes to the upper end of my performance range. Over time, my skills increased to the point where our lessons focus on "tweaks" to the songs I will be performing. Arlys strengths are her knowledge of how anatomy affects the voice, her ability to explain techniques in a variety of ways (so that at least one of them clicks for me), a prodigious sense of humor, flexibility, and a passion for both teaching and her own continuous learning. Arlys is delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who wishes to sing better, especially shy singers, young people, and those who need to know why or how something works.
My two sons both studied with Shulamit over the course of five years. As a teacher, Shulamit was patient, yet motivating. She has a lively personality that both of my sons responded to. She remained true to her training and philosophy of teaching, yet was flexible when my son's interest was veering away from classical music. Shulamit knew that she was not going to become a different teacher, but she incorporated some popular music into his lessons to try to meet him where he was. As the mother of the student, I have always enjoyed my contact with Shulamit and have felt privileged to be audience to her magnificent playing.
When my daughter Cady was 9 years old she started taking lessons from Bruce at a music store near our home. Unfortunately, the music store went out of business after about 8 months of lessons. Cady decided to take violin through her school. After two years of violin lessons Cady wanted to resume guitar lessons. Bruce was so good with her the first time around that I decided to call him. She was very shy at first but Bruce is so good with her that she warmed up to him rather quickly. Having a great teacher like Bruce makes lessons fun for Cady. He's very patient with her and makes sure that she understands each lesson. When Cady had a special request of learning some Christmas songs Bruce emailed the music to me so that I could print it for her. He has been coming to our home once a week now for about 6 months. His prices per lesson are very reasonable. He's always a little early (which is really on time) and he's very accommodating with our schedule changes. I highly recommend Bruce for guitar lessons!
Mike is an excellent teacher with incredible skills and knowledge of many genres of music. Before taking lessons with Mike, I was only learning guitar by learning simple metal songs with my old guitar teacher. When I started taking lessons with Mike, my guitar playing improved exponentially. Mike helps you reach your goals through a variety of methods like exercises and the underlying music theory to introduce the material, followed up by applications of the material seen in real music you listen to. Mike has also helped me be more open-minded about other good genres of music like the blues, jazz, and classical, which has also helped me to become a more well-rounded player. Overall, Mike is a great guitarist, musician, and teacher who can help you get as far as you want to go as a guitar player.
Amazing! So much more than any simple music lessons.
We had a very positive experience with Mr. Freed's tutoring service, Aside from the academic aspect, Mr. Freed offerered my son practical test taking strategies and helpful advice for his future.
Mike is supportive and professional. He has introduced my daughter to many different types of piano music and helped her continue to love music by teaching to her strengths and not putting unnecessary pressure on her.
My daughters love piano and voice lessons with Michael Kullik
John has helped me take my drumming to the next level. When I started lessons I was fairly new to the drum set and did not know how to read music. Over the past two years he has completely transformed me from a beginner to a gigging musician. John is patient, laid back and very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him to drummers of all skill levels.
Hello! As an adult beginner seeking to learn the guitar, I can tell you several things I've discovered through experience. Things I can state with complete confidence. 1) Learning to play guitar can become overwhelming rather quickly! With all the information available on line, through books and from friends who say they can show you, it's quite easy to waste a lot of time learning stuff that really isn't productive over the long haul. Sure, you'll learn quickly at first because you're starting from zero, but once you learn the fundamentals, now what? This is where the majority of guitarists languish for years rehashing the same old stuff and never really improving. You need competent guidance! 2) Speaking of competent guidance, I've had numerous teachers who were really good guitar players but after a couple of months watching them play, you begin to wonder why YOU aren't getting much better. They're good, you're not and you're not getting much better. You're wasting precious learning time. Playing and teaching are 2 separate issues. Being able to relay information is probably more important than the ability to play when looking for a teacher. Phil can not only play but excels at explaining music concepts so they are readily accessible to students seeking knowledge. He was the first instructor I was exposed to who had a prepared, written game plan. A step by step road map to mastering the instrument that he explains patiently and intelligently. He loves both playing and teaching the guitar and it is abundantly clear when you talk to him about the subject. I have yet to have a session with him where I didn't feel that I was better after our lesson than I was before it, and that is the main reason one seeks out an instructor. So they can get better! 3) Phil treats lessons like a professional. He's never been late or surprised by my visits. He is always prepared and that's one of the things I like best. He makes me feel like I'm his only student and that MY progress is what's most important. I'm not just a time slot to fill or a check to grab and cash. No ego or showing off his skills for large chunks of the lesson. My skills and my improvement is what matters most and my entire lesson, from start to finish, is devoted to that. 4) Music theory is a bit spooky, especially for the beginning student. The problem isn't the complexity of the subject but how it's explained and mapped out. Yes it can be complex but in order to truly understand the instrument, you must understand the underlying concepts of music theory. What I liked most about my initial interview with Phil was his interest in what I was looking to accomplish. I was questioned about my goals. What did I want to accomplish. Learn music theory? Learn to read notation? Learn to just sit on the couch and play the blues or rock or pop music? A combination of some of it or all of it? He had a path for any/all of it tailored to my wants and needs. I'm thrilled with the path I chose and my progress on that path but I'm reminded by Phil that the plan can change as I grow and learn which is as it should be. Flexibility in learning means more options which also means constant learning without stagnation or hitting a wall that equates to more wasted time. If you seek professional, intelligent and skillful instruction as it relates to the guitar, I urge you to seek out Phil and discuss your musical goals with him. He has helped me both understand music as well as the instrument. It's quite a thrill to honestly believe you are improving quickly at playing the guitar. I look forward to continuing to improve with Phil's guidance and honestly feel my goals are well within reach. Both my playing as well as my understanding of music is growing daily and I eagerly anticipate what the future holds for me and my guitar journey with Phil's assistance!
This is my children's third school year attending instrumental music lessons with Dr. Lamb and we are more than satisfied with the quality of Dr. Lamb's instruction. My children are learning how to read music and I can see how proud they are of their learning. Dr. Lamb offers extensive knowledge and is an excellent instructor who wants nothing more than to inspire children to explore their musical abilities.
Josh does a great job teaching young adults and kids guitar lessons, and brings a passionate appreciation for all types of music to the lessons. Whether just beginning, or looking to improve your skills, Josh can help anyone improve their talents and broaden their musical horizon. Definitely would recommend Josh as a guitar instructor.
I am very thankful to have Anastasiya Nyzkodub as a teacher for my son. We were looking for someone committed to what they do and at the same time fun. I visited a few lessons myself and enjoyed watching Anastasiya's teaching approach. Also, having some music background in the past, I found her lessons to be very entertaining. I will highly recommend this teacher to anyone who would like to learn how to play clarinet.
As a college student currently studying Music Education, my piano lessons with Ms. Jessica Shao were some of my best musical memories growing up. I first started lessons with Ms. Shao as an elementary student. She showed me great patience and kindness throughout each lesson, but always encouraged me to do my best. She did a great job of keeping records of our assignments and weekly practicing in our personal journals. She also knew how to motivate young learners with recitals and small prizes! I am very grateful for Ms. Shao for the past years of piano lessons, which led me to become a piano teacher myself today. I am confident in recommending her as a piano teacher to any student who is interested in learning piano!
Amanda is an excellent teacher. Unfortunately I had to stop lessons for personal reasons but will definitely go back to her when I can.
Our son, W has been studying trombone with Andrew for almost 5 years and W has improved immensely over that time. When W first started to study with Andrew, he was ready to give up on trombone, but we insisted that he continue and now W is in wind ensemble, jazz band and the pit orchestra for his high school musical. Andrew has a wonderful connection with young people; he's extremely patient and positive. Also, Andrew was extremely helpful when we were ready to buy a decent trombone for our son. I highly recommend Andrew as a private music instructor.
Candis and her team do a great job for music lessons!

I can teach people how to sing, play guitar and viola. I can provide 30-minute to an hour-long lessons, and I travel to you or you travel to me.
