Introduction: Hello! Heard Vocal Coaching is a voice coaching service offering in-person and remote lessons that is based in Minneapolis, MN. I have been teaching voice for around five years now and I am a full member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. My education includes a M.M. and B.M. In Vocal Performance and Voice Teaching. I teach Classical, Musical Theatre, Public Speaking, Pop and Contemporary, and even Metal techniques. I have experience working with ages 9-68, so all are welcome!

Over the few months I’ve been taking lessons with Harrison, I feel like I’ve learned a lot about my voice and have improved so much!! I definitely suggest working with him if you’re looking for someone who puts a lot of effort and care into their students work, progress, and enjoyment of singing!

If Thumbtack would allow it, I’d check all of the above boxes. Harrison is an amazing teacher. When I started working with him over a year ago, I was very nervous about returning to music and singing after having stepped away for many years. He made me feel comfortable right away. Our work together has changed my voice in such a way that I actually like to hear myself sing! Never felt that way before. I love how he mixes old school methods, modern technology & his knowledge of throat/voice anatomy in order to produce the best sound that is both safe AND effective. He’s also very adaptable with my crazy schedule so I appreciate that too. Highly HIGHLY recommend Harrison as a voice coach. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've really enjoyed working with Harrison this past year (ish). He's always been super supportive and encouraging. He finds exercises that work with me to help me grow. I recommend Harrison to everyone if any skill level. I'm a beginner and have never sung outside of my car or shower, but now I sing with courage. Thanks Harrison!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During a consultation I like to get to know a prospective student and hear why they’re interested in voice lessons. If they’re interested in going forwards we schedule an introductory lesson, where I get to know their voice and share some initial exercises based on what I think will help get the student to where they want to be! After that we figure out how frequently you may want to take lessons!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Music with Distinction in vocal pedagogy and performance and a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. I am also a full member of NATS (the national association of teachers of singing).
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been singing all my life and went to school for performing Opera and Classical Music. Performing turned to a love of the science and tradition of singing and now I love to help others tackle any vocal challenges they may run into
