Though I had heard a great deal about her, I first met Kristie when I was a guest in one of her college classes. I was impressed by how she presented her information and then allowed her students to follow its logic and make their own conclusions, asking clarifying questions as needed. As a conference organizer, I am constantly seeking engaging educators who also have practical knowledge on a given topic. Kristie is one of those people. Kristie is so excited about her content, yet not overbearing. After a long, winding conversation during which we discovered our similar interests about children and food, I hired her to facilitate several sessions at our annual Child Care Professional Institute. Her sessions were among the first filled in fact, they were overfilled. Kristie brought an incredible breadth and depth of knowledge about how our food is processed from farm to table; what chemicals they often contained; and she pointed out several unhealthy ways we talk about food and our diets, ways that we had not previously recognized. She respectfully brought students through her process; I observed their changing faces as the light dawned. Kristie was incredibly well-prepared, bringing with her several food choice examples and multi-page handouts. Participants responses were overwhelmingly positive and they wanted more. Kristie taught three seminars at our event, spending the day sharing her extensive knowledge about how food affects our bodies, physically and mentally. Based on their comments and my interaction with her, I would highly recommend Kristie as a facilitator/educator for most any event where specific knowledge on the effects food and its processing have on humans, the benefits of knowing from where ones food originates, the psychological concepts involved, strategies for sharing this knowledge with children (and adults) so children and adults understand how to make healthy food choices for themselves, and where active participation by all is expected and humor is in abundant supply.
Mary was the officiant for our wedding and she was BEYOND INCREDIBLE! She made everything so easy for us and helped us every step of the way. She personalized the ceremony just for us and included some of our quirky humor. We absolutely LOVED her!
Sarah was amazing. I love working with her for all my photography needs. She is laid back and loves having fun during all sessions. The end products of the photos are always amazing. Highly recommend sarah
My wife and I attended pre-marital counseling sessions with Pastor Modlin before marriage. Pastor Modlin is very down to earth and understands the concepts needed to make a marriage successful. She made us work and understand each other better through those sessions and speaks directly on how to make it work. Pastor Modlin had her own family issues going on right at the time of our wedding and we were concerned that we may have a last minute alternate, but she had committed to our ceremony and was there for each of us. She made our ceremony fun and memorable, to say the least. We also recently had Pastor Modlin for my fathers funeral, after he had spent the last two years in a nursing home. Pastor Modlin would visit my father when she was at the nursing home and spent time with him getting to know him. It was that time and the time that she took speaking with our family that made the funeral what it should be which was a celebration of my dad's life. I can't imagine how it could have been any better and was glad she was there for us once again. Pastor Bev has been there for important times and has made both the happy and sad times just that much better. I can only say that she has gone far and above anything I had expected.
This therapist is experienced, caring, and highly effective. I was in a deep trance for my last session. Hypnosis is a good tool to use for many personal issues like weight loss, anxiety, self-esteem, etc.
I have had numerous interactions with Michael C. Birnkrant Jr. over the past 20 years and I believe him to be a very talented, creative and honorable professional. Michael is an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur with a long history of successes spanning numerous industries. He has consistently performed at a high level and has often excelled in difficult and challenging situations. My respect for him goes beyond his professional activities, as he has gone out of his way to support me and my family. I can offer no higher recommendation than I can in support of Mr. Birnkrant.
I was fortunate to have Bill as a Chaplain Supervisor three years ago. My experiences with Bill both as a spiritual advisor and counselor have been wonderful. Bill has the wonderful ability to listen to what is being said on the surface and pick out the juicy pieces underneath. He has helped me many times to see what my real struggles are and then he's able to help me reframe these experiences in a life giving way. Bill has a great passion for people, healing, and wholeness that he brings to his profession. I always feel that his guidance is done with great compassion, insight, and never without a touch of humor and fun as well.
I went to Craig Lang for help with some anxiety issues. He was very knowledgeable, empathetic and helpful. He was professional and through our work, my anxieties faded - awesome! I highly recommend Craig - he is not only a great hypnotist, but a great therapist and person all wrapped up in one!
Bennett and I worked together at South Metro Human Services for approximately a year and a half. I believe Bennett excelled at working with clients who experienced psychosis, negative symptoms of schizophrenia, and, especially, cluster B personality disorders. He consistently made clients feel heard and supported. Bennett also demonstrated skill in engaging clients in conversations that facilitated self-advocacy with external providers, and, when clients faced barriers to advocating for themselves, Bennett stepped in to make sure their concerns were addressed. As a co-worker, Bennett was an incredible support and ally. As one of the few female employees on our team, I struggled a great deal with the experience of implicit and accidental sexism. I also came to this position fairly early in my recovery from my own experiences with depression and suicidal ideation and an eating disorder. Bennett was an amazing partner in this-- he validated my frustrations, problem-solved difficulties, called out other colleagues, and overall made going to work a happy and hopeful experience. I cannot recommend Bennett Jones highly enough. As a co-worker in the mental health field, and as a friend and support person who filled a puedo-therapist role in my daily life, Bennett is a deeply compassionate and remarkably gifted listener, and working with him has enriched my life in ways I am still discovering, months after our working relationship has ended.
Randy is very good, and help us to find a good spot in Minnehaha Fall for the wedding. We also very appreciate that he came outsite to perform the wedding in such a cold day. Thanks !
