My husband and I hired Michelle as our wedding officiant and we really appreciated how accommodating and helpful she was in putting our ceremony together. My husband and I have a diverse group of religions in our family and Michelle really helped us to keep our ceremony the spiritual experience that we were looking for. One of the number one compliments we have received about our wedding has been how GREAT the ceremony was!! We can't THANK Michelle enough!

My husband and I waited until the last few months before our wedding to find an officiant. Luckily, we found Margaret! She was very friendly and good at speaking in front of our 200 guests. I highly recommend her.

Durk was wonderful to work with!!! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is looking for an officiant for their wedding. My husband and I grew up practicing two different religions and decided to have our wedding ceremony at a neutral location. Durk was willing to create a ceremony that incorporated our love story and focused on our culture, he personalized the verbage and made the ceremony very personal and unique to us. Durk is a great listener and truly enjoys meeting with couples in an effort to get to know them better. Without a doubt, we would recommend Durk to officiate anyone's wedding!

We used Patti as the officiant for our wedding September 2015. We were looking for a relaxed and intimate ceremony. Patti was both professional and flexible as an officiant. She was available to us throughout the planning process, listening to our wants and offering feedback as well. She gave us the space to design the ceremony we were dreaming of while balancing what we needed from her. We chose to write our own vows and pick our own readings, and have Patti lead the ceremony and create a brief message and blessing. Patti wrote a simple and relevant message that fit perfectly with what we were looking for. She was also respectful of our wishes to have a non-religious ceremony. In sum, Patti is an officiant who works to make sure the ceremony reflects the couple and not the other way around. She is respectful, professional, and talented in what she does. We were beyond happy to have her as a part of our wedding.

Chris was awesome, he met with my wife and I about an hour before the ceremony. In that time he met and greeted my wife, family & friends. Got me to feel comfortable and not so nervous even told us all a little about himself. When it came to the ceremony he was able to complete it exactly how I wanted. I asked for it to be simple and sweet, and gave exactly that and also acknowledged that I just wanted to get to our marriage and not be so concerned with the wedding. My marriage ceremony was small and simple and when I do decide to have a wedding I would definitely choose to use him again. And I would recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant. Also it was awesome to find out that we were his first same-sex couple.

Angie was a fantastic addition to our wedding day! Her first impression was a good one; We had emailed her asking for information and she responded within the day (which is a big plus in my book!) During our meetings she was very helpful and straight forward in how the ceremony process would go. Angie also includes worksheets that really do come in handy if you are a confused bride-to-be! Our wedding day turned out to be cold, rainy, and outdoors but Angie played it off with a little bit of humor and quickly got through the ceremony without rushing it. It was also really nice to find an officiant that was young and a women; not to be stereotypical but we weren't looking for an old man to marry us :P Thanks Angie for making our day that much more special! ~The Robinsons

5* review Lisa Severson (Officiant) Saturday, September 9, 2017 Venue - Hollister Mansion Prescott, Wisconsin From the moment we met Lisa Severson there was an instant connection. She is a warm welcoming person who is genuinely interested in the couple she is working with. She offered ideas of things we could incorporate into our ceremony, as well as, readings etc. In visiting with us she made notes of a few things about our relationship, nicknames, etc. and worked that into the ceremony. We came up with something that was suitable for both myself and my wife. Our venue was at the Historic Hollister Mansion in Prescott, Wisconsin and after she heard of the venue dressed in garb that was true to that era. As the ceremony was taking place there were the sounds of trains in the nearby distance of which she was able to improvise and added a bit of laughter. We loved having Lisa officiate our wedding and highly recommend her to others if you are looking for someone very creative. Thank you Lisa! Bonnie and Marianne

I have been to 2 weddings in which Joe was the officiant. One of which was my own! He was wonderful in each ceremony. Joe made sure to learn as much as he could about us and ensured our service was 100% unique to our personalities and style. I could not have asked for more when it came to our ceremony.

About

Your wedding ceremony should be about you, your story, your hopes and aspirations, your sensibilities as individuals and as a couple. Although every wedding ceremony has commonalities each marriage is entirely unique! I work with couples to translate how they feel about their history, their bond, their families, and community and, very importantly, what they understand about love and marriage...into a custom ceremony that is written just for them.

About

Are you getting married soon? Do you get queasy at the very thought of having a ceremony that's so off-the-shelf common that you could simply change the names of the participants and you'd be ready to go? If the mere idea of this cookie-cutter approach to your wedding -- one that blurs into an easily forgotten "Dearly beloved..." haze -- gives you hives, you're the right person to go the nonconformist nuptials route. A nonconformist is one who refuses to be bound by accepted beliefs, customs, or practices. If you want a deeply spiritual (albeit not affiliated with any specific organized religion) or secular wedding, vow renewal or commitment ceremony, Sid Korpi is your dream officiant. With more than two decades of experience in public speaking/acting, professional writing/editing and party planning -- not to mention nearly five decades of experience being a genuine nonconformist, she has all the skills and the legal power vested in her by the state of Minnesota to help you write, plan and pull off a singular, unique-to-you ceremony people will buzz about for years to come. Our fees start with a base rate of $150 to perform your ceremony and deliver your signed wedding certificate to the Hennepin County (or other Twin Cities area) Government Center, then add whatever services you require, such as the following: * Professional proofreading and/or editing of the ceremony you have written yourself (one hour of this service is included in the base rate; thereafter, hourly rates apply) * Extensive interviewing of you and your betrothed in order to write your ceremony for you to your specifications (hourly rate applies for writing services) * Meeting the day before the wedding for a rehearsal -- optional but recommended for any but the smallest, simplest of ceremonies (for an additional travel expense fee) and/or * Wedding dance instruction available through Two Right Feet Dance, either private lessons beforehand in our home studio or on-site at your reception (Scroll down for more information about this.). Call Sid Korpi to set up a time to meet at the Two Right Feet Dance Studio/her home. There's no charge, and the meeting usually takes about an hour. It's just to see if you are all kindred spirits. Your wedding is too important to choose anyone but the perfect-for-you officiant (All parties reserve the right to respectfully decline to proceed if there is not a meeting of the minds regarding the substance of the ceremony). Decide to go with Nonconformist Nuptials and a nonrefundable $50 deposit is all that's needed to reserve your wedding/other ceremony date and will be deducted from the balance, which is due the day of the ceremony. Read what recent Nonconformist Nuptials clients have had to say. "Sid, thank you so much for everything! We were so blessed to have you as part of our special day! Sid, you did an amazing job! Thank you again." - Jake and Stacey (Adelmann) married by Sid Korpi on September 21, 2007 "All of my family just adored you! Thank you for the wonderful job you did. You really made our ceremony more personal and enjoyable. Thank you Sid. I could never thank you enough!" - Heather Marie Anderson, married to Ryan Anderson on May 2, 2009 ''We are so happy that Sid was able to officiate our wedding ceremony. She offered us many creative ideas and helped edit our ceremony to make it more 'us'. It was great to meet with her ahead of time. We really were happy with our decision to have her participate in our wedding.'' - Kristi Coley-Stephan, married to Dave Stephan on May 29, 2009
