From founder Chef Natalie Allesee:
I have worked as a Chef for 15 years in various restaurants around the Twin Cities. I am classically trained (Le Cordon Bleu), but garnered the majority of my knowledge from working for various high profile (and James Beard Nominated) Chefs in MN. I have worked in fine dining & casual restaurants, and have a passion for curating menus specifically to the guests palate. Hyper-local, low waste cooking is what has always driven me creatively, and whole vegetable, vegetarian focused meals are my specialty. I use heritage grains, locally sourced produce & and upcycling ingredients in order to align cooking with my values. Whatever waking moments I have not reading about/cooking food, I am hiking/foraging/enjoying the beauty of MN.

Our experience with Natalie was nothing short of amazing!! Truly one of the best meals I have ever had!! The starter salad was so delicious and with a little kick to it which I never thought a spicy salad would be good! It was sooooo good! Our steak dinner on a bed of root vegetable hash with rosemary chimichurri was mouth watering, hands down the best steak we have ever eaten!She came with her own cooking stuff and serving dishes and utensils! Her cooking and food to table time was impeccable and had everything cleaned and back to normal before leaving <3 As a plus, she is good with dogs! we would HIGHLY recommend booking her cause I know we will again! Her recipes are from the heart and to taste like a true chef, so something you cannot replicate!

Rowan and Dough meal prep and delivery has been a game changer in our lives. Ive lived with a sensitive stomach/gerd for years. Meal delivery is an added expense, however I looked at it through the lens of medicine. Turns out R&D meals are less expensive than dining out, delicious and more WAY nutritious than I what I have time or skill to prepare.Chef Natalie creates culinary delights from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients that are as fresh as they are flavorful. Her commitment to wholesome, unprocessed foods has not only elevated our dining experience but also made a remarkable difference in my health. A true testament to the power of real, nourishing food.My husband is not into splurging and says her meal service is worth every penny. R&D is consistent with excellent customer service, prompt communication, and her food is top notch. I especially love the Pyrex program so there is minimal food container waste.We highly recommend Rowan and Dough!

I was looking for a meal service but I didnt want to compromise quality or flavor and Im glad I found Rowan & Dough! Natalie helped us through a busy transition time of life with a small baby and moving. It helped so much to have the extra meals delivered every week. I loved that we could opt into a Pyrex program and save on waste and that Natalie sourced local whenever possible. Dishes were great and each week had a ton of variety that were prepared with the seasons. The personal and flexible elements were also great! Each week you get an email and can pick any selection of meals for the week. If youre looking for food made from scratch and the convenience of a meal delivery service, definitely check out Rowan & Dough.
