If you are looking for someone who can finally assure a different math experience for your child or for you - I'm here to help! I am an adjunct math professor at Lindenwood University in St-Charles, MO, where I teach various math courses part time. I am a math tutor most of my time. I love teaching and tutoring math and most of all, I love seeing my students strive after years of struggle with math subjects. My European education and 15 years of experience tutoring here in the US make me a different kind of tutor. My methods are a combination of European and American teaching style: the result is a faster improvement, solid knowledge, lower stress level, better scores and a great success! Everyone has a different goal when it comes to math tutoring (overcome math fears? improve grades? pass a math course? improve ACT score? challenge a gifted student beyond base-line school program? help ensure deep understanding of complex math concepts?.....) , the list goes on because every student is unique. I create a personal program for each student and constantly adjust my lessons for effective reinforcement of basic skills, coordinating it with current school curriculum, communicating with student's teachers, if needed, which improves the effectiveness of tutoring. I tutor students of all ages at convenient time, including evenings and weekends, teaching basic as well as advanced courses: pre-Algebra, (Algebra I, II, College), Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Math Analysis, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, ACT prep (math and science sections). I have acquired years of experience tutoring students with ADD and ADHD. I tutor home-schooled students in the mornings. Location: at my office at home in Wentzville, MO or at a local library(Wentzville, O'Fallon, Chesterfield, St-Charles), or online. Online lessons are available via Skype. These lessons are more convenient if transportation or time is a concern. This is also a more affordable option, it works great for a motivated student of age 14 and up, who is mature enough to ask questions and actively engage in learning process. References from satisfied parents, students and their teachers are available at your request. The charge is competitive, but lower than you will be facing at large tutoring companies that always aggressively pressure clients for long term commitment. First evaluation lesson is free. You can contact me for one lesson or multiple lessons, regular schedule or occasional test prep lessons, long or short term. You decide what is best for you. I have a limited number of available spots for new students each semester. Existing students get preference. However, I always do my best to find a way to accommodate everyone. In addition, I tutor basic Physics (high school). I am looking forward to working with you!

I have bachelor's and master's degrees with honors in mathematics from Washington University. My experience include tutoring over 1000 students in all areas of math including ACT math, algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics and more. I specialize in ACT Math and math competitions. I offer free phone consultation for all new students. I offer highly individualized, comprehensive curriculum tailored to each math student's needs. I save you money by dividing the work between our tutoring sessions and homework assignments. As much as possible, I explain any new math concept or problem to students only once and meticulously document it for them to review on their own. Any work that students can do entirely on their own is left as homework. In one hour, I can give your student the results that it would take an average tutor several hours to produce. I am almost done with my degree in secondary math education. I have an extensive math background and can tutor all grade levels in math including algebra, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-cal and calculus. I can also tutor various college math classes.
I have volunteered at my parents' tutoring institution for the past few years. I have experience in teaching elementary English and math topics, as well as some middle school math. I am currently a rising senior at Washington University and have taken university-level English and math courses, but I specialize in tutoring grades around pre-K to 9th grade. I can also help with ACT/SAT prep for those who are preparing for college. I got a perfect score on my ACT English section as well as placed in the 99th percentile for math. I am especially good with kids and have a lot of patience to help them through their studies.
I have always been advanced in mathematics and have tutored students on my own. Starting in November of 2013, I became a tutor at the University of Missouri Student Success Center, where I attended school. There, I assist students in the subjects in intermediate algebra, college algebra, and finite math. I do this by reviewing, answering questions, discussing problems, and preparing students for exams. I have now started meeting with students on my own time and assisting them not only with solving their mathematics but also with time management, study techniques and just finding motivation. I take pride and find it extremely rewarding to help others from all ages accomplish their goals that they never even believed were in reach.
I provide one-on-one tutoring for middle school and high school students. Subjects tutored are pre-algebra, Algebra 1, integrated math, geometry, Algebra 2, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and ACT math prep. I believe tutoring is like great coaching. The coach pulls out of what was already there but simply needed to be tapped. I am skilled at explaining things creatively and effectively in multiple ways.
I can help with both college level and high school math and history classes. I also specialize in general study skills and strategies useful in any academic field.

Some students benefit from one-on-one tutoring. As a credentialed teacher with a master's degree in teaching and over 20 years of tutoring experience, I would be delighted to work with your student. I have experience teaching math up through precalculus as well as physics, English, history/social studies and writing. I have taught 6-12 graders but would be willing to work with younger students. I have also helped prepare students for their GED. My fee is $60 for a 50- to 60-minute session. A 35- to 45-minute session is $50 and less than 30 minutes is $40. I usually prefer to meet at a library convenient to your student, but could meet at your home assuming the environment is conducive to learning.
