They were quick and did a good job. First experience with Thmbtack. I will use both Thumbtack and Maintenance Solutions again.
What a pleasure it was to have Temo come and do my basement drain cleanout. He was polite, professional, explained the difficulties he was encountering and did everything he could to alleviate the problem (darn tree roots!!). I will use this plumbing service every time my old house has a plumbing need!!
We needed a main faucet changed out. The house was built in 1959 so there was some funky plumbing done. Galen needed different parts and had to come back another day with no change in his estimate. Highly recommend Galen for any job you may have.
If you are looking for a contractor that does what he promises even if it hurts, have them come to the Rescue. Goes the extra mile to make you happy and with great quality.
Joe was great. Very knowledgeable and transparent. He will be upfront and honest on what needs to be done to fix your issue unlike some other plumbing companies. Steer clear of Bob Hamilton Plumbing.
Overall impressed! I have my own construction business and have been to busy to focus on my own home, and Joe and his crew where out within 48 hours and had the job done in a day! Very impressed!! From on contractor to another, this show a lot!
Roy helped with trim repair, gutter repair and a minor plumbing project. All repairs went well. He was responsive.
The plumber from Dick Ray was able to come out to my property very quick . I had been having reoccurring problems that another plumbing company was unable to fix and they finally told me they were unable to help me. I was referred to dick ray and they came and diagnosed the problem then fixed it the same day. Dick Ray will be the only plumber I call from now on
John asked questions first, then gave us a good bid on the job, and was also able to do the work on a second job we had posted on here, knocking out two projects with one contractor! He was able to do the interior electrical work in a matter of hours, and came back over the weekend to do the work on our deck, which was very much appreciated given the short deadline we had with this rental property. We showed him the problem with our deck and he came up with a more stable (and less expensive) solution than what we had envisioned. Although we had a miscommunication on start date/time that left me uneasy at first, he remedied the situation immediately and did great work. I am a young woman and was alone in the house while he was doing electrical work and I felt comfortable. In my past experiences I've always been sent an invoice for work, so I was not prepared to pay at the time services were rendered (and given work was done in the evening over a holiday weekend we needed to pay in cash instead of a check since banks were closed). John did work with us on paying him after the fact, but now I know that is something to be prepared for when working with individual contractors instead of a company that will make things go a little more smoothly. We were overall very pleased with his work and how personable he was. Would definitely reach out to him again should another project arise.
Willie and Willie Jr spent a week breaking out part of our basement floor and filling in with new cement in order to level the surface, very pleased with the work. Also performed plumbing repairs, replacing and rearanging water supply pipes, again very happy with work. Willie clearly knows his stuff and is putting together a nice business with his son Willie Jr. Hard workers and good results. Usually started late morning, when they were on the job they were working.
Over the 9 years I have owned my home in Overland Park, and my experience with numerous contractors, undeniably, Aaron has been the most ethical contractor I have had to work with. Over the past year, he completed 4 projects in and around my home including electrical, kitchen, deck repair and refinishing. He's a craftsman and has immense pride in ensuring the homeowner is more than satisfied with his work. On the most recent project in June 2015, he was not happy with the work by one of his employees. He said it was not up to "His" standards so he spent the entire day re-doing the work. I would definitely hire Aaron again for several reasons: (1) He knows his trade - mechanical, electrical, remodeling. (2) He takes pride in his work (3) He does what he says (4) he's reasonably priced. In fact, I told him he needs to raise his prices as there are competitors who charge much more and do much less. Thank you Aaron!
I hired Jim to install an electrical outlet in my home where there was not one. First, let me say that Jim was prompt to respond to my service request. I scheduled an appointment for him to come to my home to assess the job and provide me with an estimate. Jim arrived promptly, quoted a very fair price, and came ready to do the job. I hired him on the spot even though I had an appointment set for another professional to give me an estimate. Jim is very professional, yet personable, and efficient in his trade. The install was neat and clean, and Jim was careful to cleanup behind himself. I will definitely hang on to Jim's contact information and consider him for future home projects, as he is a general contractor and experienced in various construction trades. It should be clear by now that I highly recommend Jim Mowrey, owner of Kustom Remodeling. You won't be sorry. I'm sure not!
Anthony Ficara of Quick Relief Plumbing did an outstanding job of installing our new 50 gallon high efficiency water heater and CO2 detector. He responded quickly to my query through Thumbtack, gave a free estimate, asked about our water use and plans, and actually got down and dirty to find out just exactly how old our former water heater was (11 years and starting to falter). Then he sent thorough estimates for 5 different options via email and followed up with me by phone. I had gotten four other estimates and chose Anthony because he seemed practical, thorough, and professional. He did not disappoint - he was fast, efficient, thorough, and tidy. My final bill was precisely what he had bid - no surprises, and he emailed a copy of the receipt to me on the spot. He went the extra mile in helping me with another small plumbing issue while he was on site. If I have any other plumbing issues, I will definitely call Quick Relief Plumbing first - thanks, Anthony!
I really felt comfortable with Uncle D's plumbling. I'm a single mother and having to call a contractor for help on my home can get sketchy ,he was polite, very reasonable and didn't try to up sell me. Made me feel like family.
Kim is professional, very responsive and punctual (he met me to provide an estimate in the pouring rain!) and he "goes the extra mile" to provide quality service. He did an amazing job mowing my large lawn and taking down a tangled mess of an old garden - everything has been done very well, his attention to detail is awesome! I will definitely hire Kim again.
I am a Landlord with a portfolio of properties in the SE KC Metro area. I have worked with Honey Dues Handy services on several smaller handyman oriented projects after meeting him here on Thumbtack. We got to know each other and my general needs and Joe went out on a Sunday (first day we talked) to install a garbage disposal. Joe assessed the issue, went to the store to purchase parts, and returned and installed the garbage disposal and also corrected an issue where the dishwasher drain hose was improperly installed. Joe kept me informed and even sent pictures with markups given that I wasn't on site. The transaction involved a high degree of trust given that he was working on one of my rental units and I hadn't met him in person at that point. Joe more than met my expectations. From there I went on to work with Joe on several other projects which I was highly satisfied with including a garage door repair, thermostat install, underground gutter drainage assembly, etc. It was a blessing to have met Joe and I consider him to be part of the team. I would highly recommend him to anyone as his knowledge, service value, and work quality are exceptional in my opinion. I look forward to continuing to work with him with great success.
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
Matt did a great job cleaning out my clogged gutters. He was prompt, professional, and efficient. So efficient in fact I had him tackle my other electrical, plumbing, and miscellaneous household chores. I would highly recommend and plan to use his services again.
Amazing plumbing contractor in Kansas City. I have been using Razor Rooter for years. They are always on time, offer emergency 24 service and do great work. And they are reasonably priced.
We are commercial plumbing contractors. We do residential utilities, new constructions, historical remodels, hospitals, restaurants, dental labs, schools, sanitary wastes and vents, domestic waters, and all other facets of the plumbing trade.
Victory Plumbing installed our new tankless water heaters, they did a tremendous job. Mike came out and spent about an hour with us explaining how the heaters work and answered all of our questions. Victory Plumbing was also very professional and on time (which was a change from our experience with many other contractors) they cleaned up after themselves and made the whole experience very easy. Victory Plumbing will be the first ones we call for any future plumbing issues and will refer any family and friends to them as well. Very satisfied with Victory Plumbing!!
