We had an addition with a cathedral ceiling in the dining area, laundry room and master bath. We chose Jose because he was friendly and we thought the bid was something we could afford. They did a good job hanging and taping. Since I have been painting I have found a few imperfections here and there that could have been a little better. Nothing that I can't fix myself just a little more sanding was needed in some spots. Other than those couple of issues, very happy with the work they did. I have already talked with Jose about coming back this fall for some more drywall work that we need done.
Mike and the Rescue 1 team did a fantastic job on my driveway and sidewalk! Mike helped me so much with everything. I had some idea of what I wanted, but he came in with lots of fresh ideas and helped me figure out exactly what would work best to fit my vision, budget, and needs. His team was professional and their quality of work was top notch! I would most definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone!
Milt was always available and helpful in answering my questions and concerns. His employees did an exceptional job of building our decks. They were excellent craftsmen and it was obvious they knew how to build a deck. The project was a lot more expensive than orginally quoted, but we found more and more wood rot as we rechecked the original damage. I feel like the additional cost and reconstruction was necessary to rebuild the deck. We know we will enjoy this new deck for many years to come. We highly recommend Milt and will have him return next year to stain the deck.
Hired Fred for painting 3 concrete storage areas in our house. Was very happy with his work. The painters came on time, did spray painting in concrete storage areas and they look great now (aqua blue color). He also painted accent wall in one of the rooms with royal blue and we are very pleased with his work. We gave our other house painting work - 2 rooms and deck repaint based on our experience with him. Hiring him again for garage painting. Pros - Responds quickly, checks with us for the exact color we need in the morning or day before so there are no surprises. Also his prices are competitive and affordable. He will not overcharge.Quality work. Great crew. Cons - Didn't move furniture back to wall which they moved to the middle of room before painting. Also, paying through CC will cost a minor surcharge.
Had Joe's crew come out and paint the exterior of my home as well as my shed. He was very professional and went above and beyond while getting the house completed. I was very pleased with the work performed and the timing was a lot quicker than I expected. I would definitely recommend and use Joe's services again.
John just finished painting quite a bit of space (3+ rooms, bathroom, entryway) with a lot of trim in our house. We are very pleased with the end result. John was professional and courteous, keeping us posted along the way, on the progress of the job. We will definitely call John again when we have more work for him to do.
The work was done so well I added the basement to a project that included the kitchen, living room, bathroom and even resurfacing the bath tub. The team that serviced my home was always professional, listened to my vision and met and exceeded my expectations. TMC is now my "go to" contractor for home repairs.
Gary and his Men where Always On-Time. They had a lot of Great Ideas for me to consider and I realized they where better Ideas than I had thought of! I had them do just what they explained to me and it turned out GREAT! Right on Budget as well!! I Would Highly Recommend Gary and his Guys to anyone that needs work done around there place! I really like what they did for me! Richard
Excellent job installing my garbage disposal, repairing a light socket and replacing various under sink piping. Committed to excellent workmanship and customer service. Will use them again!
What an experience! Doug, Donna and Patrick have raised the bar for what I consider outstanding work. The crew spent two days, plus, just prepping the rooms to be painted -- edging every piece of wood trim with tape and covering the floors with paper; mudding and sanding rough spots and nail holes; removing faceplates from switches and outlets (leaving each screw in place, so they wouldn't get lost). I went from a darker color to a very light one, and it took 3-4 coats to make the dark blue disappear, but they got it done, with no missed spots and no shadows showing through. After they cleaned up and left, it was as if they had never been here. I am accustomed to having to clean up a lot of missed trash after workers have been here -- not the case with this team. No drips down walls, no splatters on woodwork. They are the best!
After meeting with Solomon and Nate for an estimate to refinish our deck we had a gut feeling that these were two hardworking guys. Man, were we right! Every interaction I had with them, from the first time they responded to us on Thumbtack until the follow up comments regarding the finished product, was highly professional and prompt. Solomon was very patient when fielding my many questions. They went above and beyond my expectations for what the process would entail, were very detailed, and clearly put a lot of pride into their work. I will without hesitation use them for future projects and would have no problem referring them to family/friends. If you have a job you want done right the first time, and completed by a team that clearly cares about the end-result, go with Topcoat; you will NOT be disappointed!
To this day we are pleased with the work provided by S&W Construction after our church fire. We get lots of compliments from visitors to this day. After a devastating church fire, S&W renovated and remodeled our church from the floor to the ceiling. The sanctuary ceiling was destroyed by the fire department as they put out the fire so it was very cold for them to work but they worked in the cold winter months non stop. They fixed it so we were able to have church services in the renovated and remodeled lower level while they worked or the two upper levels. They added two restrooms and an office. Restored our sanctuary, balcony, replaced windows and doors, carpeting, painting, new furnaces, new lighting, pews, new choir stand, new pulpit, kitchen and setup and installed appliances, etc. We later hired S&W Construction for sidewalk replacement and driveway reproach replacement. We will hire them again.
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
I had been needing to have my dining room and children's bedrooms painted for years now due to the awful 1980s wallpaper. I was too busy to do it myself and started looking around for someone to paint them for me. I noticed that there were a lot of companies who made big promises, but I really wanted to use a smaller company who would be focused on me as the customer instead of their bottom line. I found Gripka Paint Company and after talking with one of the owners I noticed how kind and professional they were. When Justin came to do the initial bid (which was free) he was so warm and inviting that it was hard not to like him and want to give him my business. His wife Lauren is a professional interior designer and was also very helpful in the color selection process. They provided images of what the area being painted would look like in different color options making my color choice much easier! After the job was done he walked through the rooms with me ensuring I was happy with the finished product. They did an outstanding job in a timely manor! I would absolutely recommend Gripka Paint Company to anyone and everyone I know!
Lots of Work done for us, from Carpentry to Electrical... Jim did it all. Great Communication, Was on Time, and was a pleasure to have around our home and kids!
From the first time Kelley and Carlos came out to our house and the four of us walked around the house together to see what needs to be done, they were very thorough and assured us that they would do a good job. We needed a lot of wood rot taken care of, before they could paint the whole house. My husband says they were efficient, did an excellent job and fine craftsmanship. Carlos, Alberto and Robin would show us various things and were great about checking with us and asking us what we wanted them to do. They were very meticulous with everything they did. We are very pleased and fully satisfied with the excellent quality of all of their work and crew. We got to know Carlos and he is an honest, good man. We are so thankful to have contracted with JZ Roofing & Remodeling, LLC. We have already been telling our friends about them. They are top notch in our book. Next time we need something done in this area, we will certainly contract with them again. God bless you for your work!
Oh my gosh, Chris was so easy to work with! He always kept me well informed of the progress of the job and my home looks great! I just can't say enough good things. He asked a lot of questions to make sure the job was done just like I wanted. I will definitely recommend Around The Home to my friends.
Will had provided many Painting services for me (interior and exterior) along with wood rot Repair. His work is very professional and Affordable. He works a lot in the Brookside area and had done great work for many neighbors as well.
Randy and his team were incredible to work with. I had a house that hadn't been painted in decades and needed a lot of prep work. He didn't skip over anything. In the end it looked like a new house. His integrity, work ethic and attention to detail is unmatched. Would strongly recommend.
A friend of mine refered me to Dave and I was very happy with his work. He's done a few jobs for me but the deck that he did for me was AMAZING. I say that because I'm a delivery driver and I walk on peoples decks everyday and I've noticed lots of peoples deck are not sturdy at all. I told Dave that was my biggest concern and that I need a sturdy deck. He told me don't worry about it and it's gonna be very STOUT, meaning that its not gonna move or shake. I entertain on my deck all the time and like he promised me, its very STOUT and don't move. Family and friends love it also and I wouldn't ever look elsewhere for another handy man as long as Dave is around, I would definitely refere him to others and he also have a sense of humor and good personality.
