Mary is the best teacher we ever had without any doubt. My son, he is five, loves her piano lessons a lot! He will not make so far if not Mary is teaching.
I hired Ms Speckart to teach piano lessons for my 6 year old; My 6 year old has adapted to her style of teaching right away. n the short period of time that my little girl had been going to her class , my observation of Ms. Speckart is that she is patient, teaches in a fun way for kids to learn , and she is obviously very well educated and experienced in her craft.
I have known Mr. Murphy for a year and a half. He was the children's choir director at my parish. My 8 year old son was a member of the choir. Mr. Murphy got to know him, offered us piano lessons and we agreed. My son enjoys his lessons very much with Mr. Murphy. I like Mr. Murphy because he is an accomplished musician, he is patient and respectful of children and knows how to motivate them to do their best. We are very happy with him teaching our son piano.
I started piano lessons with Melrick around April 2016. He has made the investment very worthwhile. He is knowledgeable in both reading music and learning by ear. I have no regrets and look forward to my continued growth. I would highly suggest him to anyone that is interested in learning to play the piano no matter what age you are.
We highly recommend Michael, who teaches our teenage son piano in our home weekly. Michael is responsive to what interests his student, gentle but clear in terms of expectations, very encouraging and flexible about meeting times. He was recommended to us by a professional pianist who took guitar lessons from him and thought he was great.
We hired A Major for piano lessons and glad we did! Colten has been a great instructor for our grandson and we have been very happy with his progress.
Miss Brittany works so wonderfully with our 11 year old daughter. This is our daughter's first time taking piano lessons, and she enjoys it so much! Miss Brittany makes it fun, comfortable, and feasible ~ ensuring that our daughter is learning step-by-step with reachable goals to ensure progress and success. We appreciate Miss Brittany's enthusiasm for music and teaching, and we highly recommend her as a piano instructor!!
Dr. Beth is great! She's been working with my 2.5 year old and somehow has made her able to sit and actually love these lessons! Very knowledgeable and I feel lucky to have found her for my daughter.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Ms. Calahan for almost 2 years now and the experience has been wonderful. Ms. Calahan makes it fun for the kids but still also pushes them to advance to the next level. Ms. Calahan also does great with adults. I recently started taking piano lessons as well. Both my daughter and I have enjoyed learning the piano and recently we played christmas music for all our family. It made for a perfect Christmas Eve night with everyone signing along. In addition, the recitals are perfect by being more low key but still giving students an opportunity to gain confidence with their music in front of an audience.
Ms. Neva is very friendly, patient, and encouraging with our children during their piano lessons. They enjoy their lessons and look forward to having lessons with her every week.
Sue Alexander from the MusIQ club will be giving piano lessons to two grandchildren and me. She responded very quickly and very nicely agreed to come by so we could meet and she could be introduced to the children. My daughter and her children and I were all delighted with Sue and are looking forward to the lessons.
Our boys (ages 12 and 14) have had Bill as their piano teacher a total of 3 years, two years in the beginning until he relocated out of the area, and now we are back with him since his return. He challenges and encourages them in their piano studies, in both piano performance and theory, and he is a very accomplished musician himself. We couldn't be more pleased to have Bill instruct our boys.
I'm teaching private in-home piano lessons to students aged 4 through adult. All lessons and plans are prepared weekly on an individual basis for each student. Since I teach the student and not the book, students advance legitimately in a faster pace. Of course, music theory, sight-reading, and composition are included.
I'm trained in both classical and musical theater, as well as rock and pop. I teach both piano and voice to kids and adults of all ages. I focus on proper technique while still allowing my students to have input on material they are excited about. Many of my students have gone on to perform with companies like STAGES St. Louis, The MUNY, and in NYC.
I teach beginning violin and piano lessons, as well as music theory, and reading using a combination of hands-on activities and written work. I have been playing both piano and violin since I was 4 years old, and actively participating in a variety of performance venues. My program of instruction includes music theory and notation taught utilizing 3-dimensional pieces in hands-on activities, making the understanding of rhythm and sound a multi-sensory experience.
I instruct piano to all ages and all levels. What makes my business great is that I truly love what I do and it doesnt feel like a "job". I have been teaching private piano for 22 years and I still love it as much as I did when I first started.

What makes my service stand out: I have experience in the vocal field from 7th grade up until this point. I have strengthen my voice in using techniques in grade school both 7th and 8th grade from a music teacher and did very well in this field. I pursued music in high school, but I continued it in college and entered into the Concert Chorale and sang with this years and years and entered from this into the Alumni Choir. I did sing also in the Church, Coffee houses, the Community Choruses from Powell Symphony Hall and with after school programs. I practiced a lot, and while pursuing the voice, I decided to learn the Piano at 11 years old and I pursued the piano with Ludwig, Staufen Piano, Baton and Lacefield Music, I decided to hang out with the musicians and dedicate myself. I decided to use colleges as well as grade school and high school to get all the techniques I need in order to teach music too. I am now teaching it and have taught in the St. Louis Public Schools and I am working with Special Ed. students as well as regular students and I do get the opportunity to teach them music occasionally. I now dedicate myself in a Church and Open devotion and soloist sing every Sunday, also I do have a friend who uses me as a singer also in a sing-A-long for the foreign children as well as others kids. I have some experience in teaching band and orchestration for the high schools and I am looking forward to more experiences in the upcoming future in the music field.
