"Nikki Mcelvain and the entire staff of dance instructors at Dance Pizazz offer an extremely welcoming and supportive environment for learning to dance. The entire staff is very accommodating of each student's personal needs, and will flexibly schedule your lessons within their operating hours. If you have always felt that you have "two left feet" and could never get out on the dance floor, then this is the place for you! Time after time, I have witnessed them take an absolute beginner (I was one) or beginner couple to far more accomplishments in dance than originally envisioned. Private lessons can be taken individually or as a couple at your choice. In the lessons, they will help you work on exactly what it is that you need and want to improve your dancing, and will tailor the dances taught to your specific interests. There is also ample opportunity to gain experience at optional practice parties and group lessons in a very supportive and safe environment. Everyone is there to learn and practice, and instructors are always nearby to help if needed. You will get asked to dance at the practice parties (guaranteed!). Best of all, you will have great fun as you are learning to dance, and you will become confident in your dancing. You will no longer be hesitant to get out on the dance floor, but instead will be looking for every opportunity to dance. I recommend trying Dance Pizazz out at their monthly party or ask for the introductory lesson, so that you can see first-hand what I am talking about."

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons. Some dance instructors will travel to the student’s home, which usually costs more, while others hold small-group sessions in their studios. If you choose a small-group class, expect to pay less than for individual dance lessons.
