The lessons are going great, and I’m practicing fundamentals, which I’m really excited about. I love Harrison’s approach. It’s vastly different from what I was initially taught over a decade ago in my piano class, and it just clicks for my brain way better. Learning with chords shows piano in a different light — it’s not so clinical. I’m learning the chords and connecting more with the music. Carol O. says, "I started taking piano lessons with Isidora in late 2021 and chose to continue with her even after she left the music school through which I had initially connected with her. She has been a fantastic teacher for this adult beginner. I have appreciated her teaching methods, her encouragement and support and flexibility with my schedule changes over the years. I feel like Isidora was able to meet me where I was at the beginning and really helped to stretch me further than I thought I could go (e.g., playing in a recital). My life priorities have changed and so I am discontinuing lessons at this time, but not because I don't feel like I could still continue to grow and learn with Isidora. I hope I will be able to return to lessons with her in the future. In the meantime, I have the knowledge and skills to continue to play for my own enjoyment, which was my goal from the beginning of taking lessons. I am grateful for everything I've learned from Isidora and am so glad I found her!"See more
