We had sold our house and had left our big furniture in house for staging purposes. The guys came in and did a great job for us! The furniture was moved with no issues and the professionalism of the movers was superb! Would definitely use them again if needed!

I highly recommend this business. We had heavy items to load at two locations, including a heavy, old upright piano. They met me at the first location, were very careful with the things they had to move out of the storage unit, and loaded a heavy adjustable bed in my truck. They put everything else back neatly and without incident. Followed me to the next location to load the piano and some other items into our trailer. They brought plenty of help and everything went off without a hitch. Not every company will move or load things into your own trailer. I had called another company and the only way they would load is if they were also moving it or it was going into one of their trucks. These guys were professional, efficient, patient, and reasonably priced. So happy with their service!

I found James on Thumbtack and was very impressed by his professionalism with moving my personal items. I have already given James number to a lady who is going to be needing a mover in the future. Would use James again if moving again.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
