When I had a delayed response from Jessica upon my initial engagement on Thumbtack, I didn’t want to consider it a red flag, even when other service providers were readily responding. Next when she re-scheduled our meeting at the last moment, I still wanted to stay engaged with what sounded like a potential long term business solution. When the time for our newly schedule call, I had to reach out and alert her that I’m waiting for this call which had already been rescheduled abruptly. After the second phone call spent in detailed discussion of an appropriate strategy and way-finding to the goals, there came the unexpected, no response to my email attempts. “Ghosting” people after engaging with them regarding business is unacceptable. I think it is fair to provide these facts since I, too, consider my time valuable. The time spent with this service provider could have been better spent with someone who would not go so far as to create circumstances that end up leaving an unprofessional impression and therefore a poor rating for others to consider.
