FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm flexible. Tell me your budget and I will let you know what that will cover. Small business budgets are quite different from corporate budgets. Many professionals can outsource a project and have the company pay for it, but they simply don't ask their manager if they can do it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have an introductory phone call to answer any questions and to understand how they prefer to work. I'll ask who the audience is for the project, the overall goals, and the action(s) they want to see as a result of the work. They send me any already-created materials as well as examples of designs they like (if they have them). I'll create a draft, get their feedback, and then adjust as needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with PowerPoint since 1988. I even edited books on the subject. I worked in computer book publishing for 10 years, so I have a good command of English grammar and spelling. (I hate typos.) I spent more than a decade working with senior Cisco execs on various presentations for different audiences, including all hands meetings, executive briefings, sales pitches, cheat sheets, etc. I know what different audiences want to see and I know how to tie the slides together to tell a story that encourages people to take action.
