***UPDATED**** RATING FROM POOR TO GOOD Constantine (supervisor) called me to discuss the rating. He explained the tech specialized in refrigeration and was filling in for dryer service tech. He gave an explanation, apologized, and refunded a large portion so I consider that acknowledging their mistake and trying to make "good". He also wanted to retain me as a future customer and told me to ask for him by name in the future to ensure the right technician shows up. CLT made a mistake but demonstrated they wanted to make it right. Thumbs up for that effort! ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** In response to the (ORIGINAL) low rating, I would like to provide an explanation of the situation. The gentleman’s performance was average, and I believe that my assistance contributed to the outcome being better vs. leaving him alone. ...Aka take the time to do it correctly to make the maintenance last. Otherwise don't bill me at $245/hr for vacuuming out lint. No other maintenance was completed. I provided the necessary equipment, including a shop vac and an industrial toothbrush to detail the blower. The gentleman’s initial quote was $287, but after applying a veteran discount, the final cost was reduced to $245. In addition, I was charged a service fee for using a Visa CC. Regarding communication, the gentleman initially stated that the maintenance price of $287 included the breakdown of the dryer, cleaning, greasing of components, and inspection of the vent pipe. Unfortunately, none of these tasks were performed. The work commenced at 4:21 PM and concluded at 5:20 PM. To prevent similar issues in the future, I will take the initiative to disassemble my dryer myself. While the service provided by CLT was satisfactory, it did not meet the expectations of an exceptional service.
