Joel is a great dog trainer. He is cool, calm and collective which is a great trait for a dog trainer. His training is accomplished using positive reinforcement. It's well worth the investment in your dog and yourself.
Lena came to our house to help us with training our puppy. She was here for over 2 hours and she gave us a lot of very useful information. She was extremely patient with both of our children and our puppy. The information that she gave us was extremely relevant to what we wanted to know and when she left, we definitely felt like we had all the tools we needed to train our dog. She was very nice, prompt and I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a private dog trainer. I've actually already given her name to two of my friends who need help with their dogs.
Drew has been great with my dog and my dog seems to love him.
I have worked with Holland K9 services for 3.5 years and I would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone. When we adopted our dog Buddy, he was so high energy that we had to let him run off leash to burn that energy off and be a happy dog. However he was completely unresponsive to commands off leash, and would charge (friendly and excited, but still) any dog or person he spotted. After a bad experience with another dog training group, we found John. He helped us to transition to using an E-collar (shock collar) in order to enforce off-leash commands. I was initially nervous about that type of training due to our prior experience but with John it went great. Buddy was never fearful like he was with the other trainers. Our dog became wonderful and basically 100% reliable off-leash, and all of us were so much happier. We hired him again when we got our second dog, and he helped us train her as well as brush up Buddy on his skills again. Training with him is definitely worth every cent.
Kevin was a wonderful trainer from the beginning! My dog was usually fearful and stressed but took to Kevin within their first meeting. By the end of the week he was walking on the leash beyond our expectations. He was finally not scared to go into public, we even took him to Birkdale the next week! The best part is that Cooper was so excited every time he saw Kevin so we knew he was not only learning but loved the training.

If you want to inject honesty, trust and patience into a problem you are struggling to resolve with you "Dog Child", make K-9 Behavior one of your first calls. She provides a free consultation at your home to observe your dog in his/her natural environment.
I honestly doubted anyone could help my dog, he's so scared of everything that moves. He has gained so much confidence, he's doing really good. We love meeting up with her and her dogs, seeing Swanson has really become one of Remy's favorite parts of the week! Thanks so much Jessica, couldn't ask for a better experience, dog training has been so much more fun than I thought it would be.
Laura was incredible with our pets and home. She went above and beyond to take care of our cats. If you want a great experience with a fantastic person don't hesitate to use Laura's services!
Angie Epling is very good at training your dog and my dog Becky loves her . My dog just is too young still to really get it .
Jarod came to our home and gave a FREE (through & unhurried) evaluation of our two dogs. He answered all of my questions, gave us tips, advice, and even brought along one of his dogs to show us what ours would be learning. He is 100% the most genuine, caring, passionate dog trainer I have met and I recommend his services to anyone looking to their dog trained, behavior modifications, boarded, etc. He gained the trust and respect of my very abused, anxious Pitbull, and my stubborn German Shepherd!
Blair is the best dog trainer! I'm so sad she's not in MN anymore. I loved taking group classes and private lessons from her. She gave me more confidence and helped me communicate better with my dog Ruby. Ruby was reactive to dogs and people, growling, barking, and lunging at them. We now enjoy peaceful walks. Ruby can let other dogs walk past her and she walks perfectly in heel. With Blair's guidance, I feel I can tackle any situation. She always answered my questions and had advice for the different difficulties I was having with Ruby's behavior. Blair is funny and very personable. She works great with the dog and owner. I highly recommend Heart Dog Behavior Training!!! We love you Blair!
Amy was wonderful. Very responsible. My dog has allergies and needed special care. She stayed for two nights at our home and gave us the freedom to enjoy our family party without worry. She texted us to insure our peace of mind. Lovely person. We came home to a happy dog!!!!
Amanda stayed in our home with 2 well loved dogs and a large fish tank for 4 days. She exceeded our expectations and provided excellent care to the animals. It was our first experience having someone stay in the home with them but it won't be our last. The dogs were truly in love with her and she did an exceptional job. Amanda sent us daily reports with photos of the dogs and always did a great job to reassure us the fur babies were doing well. We highly recommend her services and have already booked her agin for our next vacation away.
We had a great overall experience with Glenn as he trained our dog and us. :) Glenn was patient, well-informed and friendly. He answered all of our follow-up questions throroughly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the training process. The one caveat I would suggest is to establish a communication plan upfront with him. Once we addressed that email was his preferred channel, things went more smoothly. We would recommend Glenn and his family to anyone looking for an educated dog trainer!
After almost 4 months of trying to deal with our Golden Retriever puppy not listening to us, jumping up onto the couches, surfing the counters, wandering upstairs and chewing on everything, we finally decided it was time to find a professional to work with him. We received Paul's number from our vet, and boy are we glad we did! Paul has been nothing short of amazing! He came to our house every morning for 4 weeks straight to train our puppy and work with him one-on-one. Toward the end of training, Paul even took him to the park and hardware store many days to allow for distractions. He showed my husband and I exactly the kind of training he was doing with our dog and let us know exactly what we needed to do in order to keep our dog in tip-top shape for the rest of our lives. It was incredible to see the transformation of our puppy over those 4 weeks. He now knows the commands- heel, sit, down, sitting at entryways, place, off and free. Also, his behavior has improved significantly. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Paul. His professionalism, dedication, positive attitude and excellence in dog training certainly make him what he is- "The Dog Professor!" And the best part is there is a lifetime guarantee- if our puppy regresses in any way, we just call Paul up and he will be back to train him! If you are looking for that right person to change both your's and your dog's life for the best, please do yourself a favor and call Paul! This is one decision you will not regret! Thank you, Paul, for everything you have done to make our lives so much easier and happier with our pup!
I am out of town a lot, so Will from Dog Pro services takes care of my dog Bruno. I like that he also trained my dog with basic obedience. Training was easy and it's affordable Will is an awesome guy.
Dog Envy changed our lives for the better!! Georgia, our boxer/bulldog mix was a very difficult, stubborn dog that we determined was "untrainable". Dog Envy changed that! We chose the Board & Train option with Samantha as our trainer. The difference in our dog is amazing! Samantha did a wonderful job not only training Georgia but educating our entire family on how to work with our new commands. I would recommend Dog Envy to anyone who needs training for their dog and especially for those with a difficult dog.
We had a great experience. It was very apparent our 6 month-old little beagle did too. He came home so happy. He had learned many things needed to become a good family pet. Now, if we, the humans, can follow our instructions to keep reinforcing the learning. You know, it's hard to teach an old dog (human) new tricks. Heather was great with Shylo and we would recommend her to anyone looking for super dog training.
Scott is an excellent trainer. He not only wants to train you and your dog. He wants to make sure you and your dog enjoy each other.
Liz (and Meritt) did an awesome job of training Spartacus - our cockapoo - and us! What they do at CCT is everything a dog owner would want - they truly love what they do and it shows in how they help dogs be such great family members and how Spartacus loves going there for socializing and training with other dogs. I could not imagine having a dog without them.
Kat was able to help me after I adopted my 5 year old, Rufus. He was a rescue dog that didn't have the greatest go at life for the first 5 years. Sweet, loving boy, but he definitely needed some guidance as far as training and obedience went. She came over to our house- met with us- and put together a plan to help get him on the fast track to where he needed to be. Through very thorough one on one training she was able to get him to *not* jump with excitement on to visitors (and even me) when they came through the door, she trained him to always stay in "place" when commanded, and the biggest thing of all was that she was able to train him to walk on a leash. I know that sounds silly, but before she worked with him- he was all over the place on a leash. With her tools and methods, he now walks by my side as if the leash isn't even there. Even more so, I can now walk him (where it's permitted) OFF of the leash and he obeys every command. He's still the same sweet boy I adopted, but he wouldn't be the well trained boy he is today without the work and training she did with him.
