When my husband and I went to Alex to learn a dance for our wedding day, she had her work cut out for her! Neither of us had any dance experience but figured if we had to dance in front of a hundred some people, we may as well give it our best effort. Alex choreographed a dance to our song that was way beyond anything I ever expected to be able to do, and taught it to us in just 5 lessons. :-) I felt like I was dancing with the stars on our wedding day! And for all the guys out there, my husband was not looking forward to the whole dance thing, but ended up having a ton of fun. And now we're even talking about what type of dance lessons to take next! Alex was awesome! We highly recommend her to anyone wanting to nail their First Dance!

Sergei was great to work with for our wedding dance! My husband and I had basically no dance experience and it was amazing to see the progress we were able to make by our wedding day through our lessons with Sergei. All of our guests were telling us all night how impressed they were. In the end, we loved our first dance so much and I could not even count how many times I have re-watched the video of it. Sergei was extremely patient and easy to work with and always kept our lessons fun and upbeat. We really enjoyed and looked forward to our Monday night lessons with him each week and have already talked about how we are sad they are over. We could not recommend him enough for first dance lessons!

Sergei is an excellent dance instructor. My fiancé and I went to him for dance lessons - with only 7 weeks away to the wedding. My fiancé did not know to dance at all and I had picked a Viennese Waltz - which is a very difficult rhythm to dance. Sergei went above and beyond in a lot of ways and we were able to dance for a full 3 minute song at the wedding. He was patient yet firm and more important very honest and ensured we had realistic expectations. He put his efforts in multiple ways to make it work - such as editing the speed of the song, trimming to duration , adding the steps one by one and adjusting based on what we could learn. He is very diligent and we will return back to him to learn more dancing for social occasions. He is a very talented dancer and an excellent teacher. Will truly recommend him without any hesitation for anyone to learn from him. Our greatest appreciation for him.

I am so glad I stumbled across the Thumbtack app so that we found Sergei! We came to Sergei with just about a month left before our wedding and he worked magic in the small amount of time that we had. I personally came in with a lack of confidence in my own dancing abilities, but by our last lesson, I felt so much more confident and so excited to showcase what we had learned for our first dance! You can tell that Sergei loves what he does as he's extremely passionate in his teaching and coaching. He's also hilarious and had us laughing the entire time. He made the most of every lesson and we learned so much about proper form and he even taught this tomboy of a bride how to be graceful!! If you're looking for a wedding dance teacher, stop your search here because Sergei is your guy!

I had gifted dancing lessons to my fiancé for our wedding because we thought it would be a fun weekly event and wanted to have something extra special for our big day. The dance lessons were so much more enjoyable than we imagined because of Sergei and the incredible routine he put together for my wife and I! We could not recommend Sergei enough for couples looking for a phenomenal dance instructor at a great value. We booked 10 classes and ended up with 12 to get the routine down and we always looked forward to our Monday sessions with Sergei. I was a total novice when we started but Sergei was able to break down the steps 1 by 1 for me with a weekly plan so that both Krista and I had learned all the steps and were able to work our way through the routine together. In summary, Sergei is a terrific instructor who kept the lessons fun and efficient while putting together a lovely routine that impressed all our friends and family!

Fun, Experienced and Extremely Knowledgeable It takes a lot of different qualities to be an effective dance instructor and Sergei brings all of them to the table. He has extensive training and experience, but as every great teacher his most admirable quality is his ability to communicate his knowledge in ways that are easy to understand by people who never danced in their lives. My husband and I purchased the 20-session pass and worked with Sergei from March until the week of the wedding, which was end of Aug. For almost 6 months, Sergei patiently helped an accountant and a programmer look like they knew what they were doing on the dance floor! We had 3 different types of dances, and while it took commitment and practice on our end, we could have never done this without Sergei’s vision, passion and ability to understand what we were capable of before we even realized it. It was a true pleasure to work with him, and my husband and I viewed our weekly Thurs dance class as a date night, where we could both learn something new while having fun! We shared so many laughs and truly had a blast! Not to mention that our dance was really a surprise to our guests, and everyone enjoyed it and had fun with us! If you are considering taking dance lessons, we highly recommend Sergei! We are so grateful that we found him and that he was our teacher!!!
