Pat was awesome awesome awesome. In a very short amount of time, practically over a weekend, the woman did wonders for me! I was a frantic mess in trying to find an editor for my dissertation equivalent project for my doctorate degree. God knew what I needed. We communicated through text, emails, phone, etc. and she was available to talk corrections and edits from start to finish. Well worth the 575.00! I plan to use her for my non profit and when I start writing my book as well. Thanks so much Pat and God bless you!!!
Charlotte is the Production Editor for a journal that I work on as one of several Editors, published twice a year. I compose articles for the journal, write book reviews, obituaries, and contribute photos and other illustrations that pass through the Managing Editor for the journal for initial editing, who then passes the material to Charlotte to arrange into a multi-page product, complete with color illustrations. That is where the real work starts, because she has to ensure that column-spacing is adhered to, marginal photos need to be enriched with color and accuracy of content, and eventually provide a draft galley for proofreading. Her experience with computers and the special features that programs involve is extraordinary, and is well paset the point that a beginner would attempt. At that point, the content is essentially printer-ready because there is little to change or correct, a factor of her ability to edit where necessary. The associated good news is that she is well organized and performs what is needed in record time with no delays. I am looking forward to working with her in abouit 5-6 months when the next issue of the journal is due for publication.
I've had Gila edit my writing for almost two years. Her copy editing is exceptional, however it's her creative help with plot development, character emphasis and story organization that make stories come alive. She's so encouraging as well!
Dorothy Potter Snyder was the editor of my book "Significant! From Frustrated to Franne-tastic. Inspirational Stories for the entrepreneurial woman." Dorothy worked with me over a period of four months. a) Reviewed and edited my book b) Challenged me to consider the reader's perspective. c) Introduced effective ways of communicating my message. d) Shared resources to facilitate the final book production. Dorothy was personable, encouraging and professional, and with her impeccable standards, held me accountable for producing a book that was clearly written. i enjoyed working with Dorothy and would highly recommend her to writers who are looking for an editor with integrity.
Bill did a great job proofreading my manuscript. He gave suggestions on how to improve some areas and pointed out the strong points in the story. He also proof read my Query for no charge.
As a freelance writer, researcher and editor, Kat consistently and reliably turns in polished, professional grade work, on time, without fail. I recently hired her to do some research and copy writing for Carolina Partners in Mental Health Care; she finished every assignment well within the deadlines, taking painstaking care to craft well-written, exhaustively-researched pieces without typos or grammatical errors. I now consider her a go-to resource for our company. Kat is highly communicative - if she has questions, she will get in touch with you right away, to ensure that she goes into any assignment with all the requisite information. In short, Kat is a good writer, a hard worker, and a delightful person to work with. I cannot recommend her skills enough.
After years writing my first novel, I had covered most of the bases of logic and editing. I contracted Linda for copy edit just in case. She read and edited, giving praise where due and improvements with encouragement. My novel reads easier now, the story line is more consistent and the text is grammatically correct. I feel far more confident going to print. I have had editors in the past who took pride in taring into my writing, leaving me somewhat crestfallen. Not so with Linda, she combines an excellent talent of what I call "positive editing", i.e. correcting, suggesting and encouraging. I highly recommend her.
I have had the pleasure of working with Sherri Orner for since 2002. She is the consummate professional, always turning out work that is high quality and error-free. She is an outstanding writer and editor and has very good attention to detail. Virtually every important piece of communication I have shared in the past 15 years- be it a letter, PowerPoint presentation, documentation, etc. - has been reviewed and vetted by Sherri. I enthusiastically recommend her to any person, from entry level to executive, who needs help with communication and administrative tasks.
