Debbi Vandy says, "Well what started as a simple check of my kitchen sink drain and switching out the faucet turned into something very unexpected! Jaylen came out and began checking the drain line for the sink only to find out we either had a major clog down the line or the pipe under the concrete slab was broken. He worked for a good 2+ hours trying to break up what he was hoping was a bad clog. Jaylen came out the next morning with a camera to fish down the pipe to hopefully be able to get a visual. At about 20ft the camera wouldnt go any farther and the pipe was loaded with thick grease. He was very thorough in telling me my options all through the process. We set the appointment for the crew to come back to dig up the area that is in our living room where the locator detected the camera on the pipe. They prepared the area and walkways with plastic and got to work. It wasnt just a break. Unfortunately it was about 14ft of rotted out pipe that had been draining water straight into the ground. Jaylen, Dillon and Joe worked for most of the day digging out the trench through our living room and finally got to where the good pipe was. They put in new PVC pipe and then backfilled the trench with the dirt. I have to say their work ethic was great. They were very conscientious about cleaning up everything from the inside of the house to the outside. They swept and mopped everything. Joe provided me with name of a concrete guy that would be able to come and close up the trench. While this certainly wasnt what I was expecting, Im very happy that I contacted Cardinal Plumbing. The whole team of Chrissy, Jaylen, Dillon and Joe were outstanding to work with. Jaylen will come back tomorrow to finish up my original request of replacing the kitchen faucet at no additional charge."See more
