Introduction: I enjoy meeting and working with couples to make sure that your wedding is unique and reflects your personalities and I offer a 'wedding workbook' to help you personalize your ceremony. Favorite marriages have included first marriages, second; weddings including children; all faiths; LGBTQ; mixed racial; all settings and times of day; and lots of different circumstances! Mrs. Ruth was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. Any questions I had, she had an answer. We did the marital pre-counseling with her and she was so reassuring and guided us in our union, which we both appreciated.

We had a simple and intimate ceremony at a nature preserve, with less then 10 people invited. Ruth was was so warm and welcoming right from the moment we met her! The workbook was so wonderful to help make decisions on how everything would go! My wife & I loved how everything turned out and wouldn’t change a single thing. Definitely going to recommend to any friends in the area when they get married!

We could not have been more happier! I have been meaning to update my review... We had an emergency and my fiancé and I found ourselves scrambling at the last minute, and when I say last minute...the Tuesday before we were to say I do that coming Saturday. We found Ruth through thumbtack and she was amazing!!!! She was calm, much calmer than we were. She was beyond accommodating. With her AWESOME ceremony planner it only took us a few minutes to get it all figured out. Saturday Ruth showed up and totally knocked it out of the park!! She was amazing! It was like we were friends and knew each other for decades, not a few phone calls and emails just a few days ago. If you need an officiant for your wedding, stop now and get a hold of Ruth and your special day will become even more special.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic fee to officiate at a marriage is $200.00 We can negotiate other factors depending distance, rehearsal needed or not, pre-marital counseling, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a 'wedding workbook' if couples wish to customize the ceremony by selecting the language, (i.e. traditional, more contemporary, etc.) and parts to be included, vows, readings, prayers, poems, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Divinity degree; am ordained in the Presbyterian denomination PC(USA); am certified to use the Prepare/Enrich tools for pre-marital counseling; and have had mediation training. I have been ordained for 25 years and have officiated at many marriages.
