What do you love about your job?
I love taking the stress out of my clients' lives. They often come to me after having a bad experience with their rental property, and I can see their demeanor change over the course of the first few months we work together. They become comfortable, and I love instilling confidence in my clients and easing their minds about their real estate investments.
What or who inspired you to start your own business?
The recession that started in 2009 made new home sales, my last real estate profession, slow to a halt. I have too much energy to sit alone in a sales office all day, so I started my own real estate company doing sales and property management. Given the slow pace of home sales at the time, the property management business grew exponentially. Many homes that were not selling were turned into rental properties.
Describe your most memorable project.
I was featured on a podcast by a major real estate investment website called biggerpockets.com. They interviewed me about our local market and about being a real estate agent, property manager, and real estate investor, all rolled into one. After doing that podcast, I was contacted by other organizations to be a guest on their podcasts. It brought a lot of business to my company, and I have been loving all the positive feedback.
