Dr. Veale was professional, communicated well, and completed the editing on schedule. Her work was excellent and I would certainly use her again and refer her to others. I am so glad I found her. Her editing was exceptional and I really appreciated all of her comments to improve the writing in my dissertation. Thanks Dr. Veale!
All around great woman! Super easy to work with, very responsive and helpful! I had no idea what effort goes into planning the ceremony of a wedding and she had every single detail planned out for us to look over and allowed us the freedom to edit or change it to our liking. She even traveled out of town to attend our rehearsal as well! The ceremony was perfect! We will forever be grateful for the service that she provided for us on our wedding day!
she's vocal and i like that, she has an overall view of how i want my novels to be edited and she double check and i like that too, i think that she and i will work well together.
I still haven't published my book (darn economics!), but I was very pleased with Glenn's efforts on editing a romance-adventure (42k words) I felt was worth paying someone to get really right before submitting. He gave solid reasons for anything he felt could be left out, and when he suggested moving parts around, it made obvious sense. I hadn't introduced the bad guy until chapter 11 or 12 (other stuff seemed more important), he moved to Ch. 6 because "even if you don't use him all the time or until much later, people need to know he exists, why, and what impact might/will have (vs. just popping in near end).
I am a clinical and forensic psychologist; however, I have an extensive amount of editing experience spanning 24 years. At age 12, I became a weekly writer for The Long Beach Press Telegram, a newspaper in California with a current daily circulation of 75,000. I worked as a contributor for four years and then became a features and entertainment editor for Chapman University's student newspaper for four years. (My undergrad degree is English with an emphasis in Journalism). I edited for Teen magazine and All About You in 1999. Since that time, I have edited over 50 dissertations and countless court documents, reports, assessments, and am the editor for death penalty mitigation reports for the state of Oregon. I have also been a university writing tutor.

These include: *copy editing novels, short stories, academic papers (humanities), and college essays as well as books about artists and their work; *ghostwriting blogs or web copy for arts groups and/or businesses that serve artists (e.g., piano dealers); *writing/editing all manner of public relations materials, including bios, descriptions, press releases and web copy; *advising artists and other creative types how to promote themselves; *writing/editing all manner of fundraising communications materials, including grants, case statements and stewardship reports; *writing/editing internal communications, particularly for the health care industry; *translating German- and Spanish-language documents into English; *translating English-language documents into Spanish; *teaching German, Spanish or writing.
I work with writers by editing and copy editing their material. I give global organization feedback for drafts in progress as well as simple proofing for final drafts. I began my career as an English Teacher and English Professor, so I have worked with all age groups and various types of writing. I bring a fresh approach to a writer's work, and I know how to help set a reasonable agenda to finish writing projects. With 36 years of experience in journalism, most of that in daily newspapers, I have written about a wide variety of topics and edited the work of others in many topics. I know how to quickly fact check and spot holes in writing. I also know how to fill them. I have spent most of my career making complex subjects understandable and interesting. I can do that for you.
I am very thankful I hired Tabitha. She is very professional and good at what she does! I am very pleased with her edits and honestly couldn't imagine what my site content would look like if I didn't hire her! I definitely recommend her to others. She is extremely articulate! Keep up the great work!

I have 33 years of communications experience -- first as a newspaper reporter, editor and publisher, then as a magazine editor and publisher, and now as a communications director in the power industry. I was trained in editing by old-school, Lou Grant-style mentors -- no nonsense, take no facts or spellings for granted. My newspaper experience has taught me how to find the story nuggets and get to the point, but do it in a way that leaves a lasting impression. And I'm an award-winning sports and documentary photographer, so I can provide powerful images and photo editing to complement your documents.
