- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard price for a ceremony is $125 if it's in Lincoln, and I am not required for rehearsal. You will have a copy of your customized ceremony in advance so you can do your own rehearsal and call me anytime with any questions. I can help walk you through it. There is a booking fee of $25 if ceremony is scheduled beyond the current month, and there are trip fees (mileage) for out of town.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After initial email or phone contact, you may - or may not choose to meet, then payment of booking fee (if applicable) is made. I email you a set of files containing the outline of a typical ceremony, the order in which things normally occur. Additional files include a collections of vow, and "Add-ons" "Add-ons" are optional, small symbolic ceremonies within the larger one. Examples are: unity candle, rose/flower ceremony, sand ceremony, wine ceremony, love letters etc.You will be asked to complete the outline by copy and paste. Put what you want into the form and delete anything you don't want. Return it to me. I review it, perhaps I will point out where you may correct or improve it. You approve the final draft and you have your copy for rehearsal. I will arrive for your ceremony 20-30 minutes before start time and check in with you. I make sure there are no last minute additions or changes and we're good to go.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did my first wedding in 1995. I have a couple on-line ordinations and one through a local 501C3 church. My preference is small intimate weddings with an underlying spiritual message focused on the couple's connection to each other. Most of my ceremonies are non-religious. However you get the wedding you want by making your selections.
