Johnny H. says, "We initially hired Commonwealth for a large front porch project. The owner, George, came highly recommended. We have a large, what is called, "Farmers Porch" and it needed rebuilt. George restored the porch inclusive of support pillars, decking, foundation and lattice work. We were fortunate to have George for this work as he restored it to a traditional porch you would see in the north east. George has roots from the Boston area. After the success of the porch remodel, we again employed George to do a complete basement remodel. This remodel included leveling of a very sloped floor, new stairs, plank flooring, molding, windows and finally painting. This project again returned a fabulous result. My retired and prideful father-in-law who was a master carpenter, and never compliments anyone, was actually impressed. That is crazy, trust me. Our most recent project was a complete tear-out and remodel of the master bath. This was huge. The master bath is on the second floor and George ran new water lines up from the basement. This project also included new sub-flooring, tile, electrical, ventilation through attic, custom window and a dreamy new curbless shower. It is incredible and we are so thrilled with how the project turned out. George and Commonwealth have really delivered a fantastic product for us. What I find most appealing is the expertise and design opinions George will suggest. He's not afraid to tell you an idea is horrible, but, he's also not afraid to listen to the customer. In working with George, a trait I came to admire was his troubleshooting. Stuff doesn't always go according to plan, and he'll focus on troubleshooting or a reasonable workaround. The craftsmanship from Commonwealth is wonderful. If you want a premium product, with a reliable company who consistently is dependable with deadlines and budgetary considerations, I can't recommend them enough. Johnny"See more
