We celebrate beauty by creating joyful works of art and rich paintwork, including faux finishes, on walls of all sizes. We love painting in homes, churches, hospitals, and businesses, all the way up to grain silos. We have been in business since 1999. We are fully insured. Richard Harrison has an MFA from North Carolina School for the Arts, and we partner with dozens of great local artists every year who make great teams. The core of our team are 3 family members who are creating a generational business. We would love to hear what you would like to see in your space. A Midsummers Mural and Richard Harrison are a delight to work with. He has done several murals for our home including a full kitchen mural, full wall mural, a canvas mounted mural (over a textured wall). If you enjoy waking up to a beautiful sunrise everyday, consider your ceiling. Let it snow, we woke up to a sunrise every day! Richard worked hard with us to achieve our unique vision for our home, and by muraling we saved hundreds of dollars on costly artwork for large oversize walls. He has an easy going style and pleasant demeaner that makes it fun. His unique understanding of color and light, dimension and feel add depth and warmth, or maybe whimsy, to your home, or business. Many of our friends have had him in their homes and businesses and each one has become a unique expression of them. Each job he did for us was done quickly and cleanly, too. So no worries there, like can happen with others. We have never been disappointed with the work that Richard has done for us.

Richard and his team did an amazing job in our stores crafting and installing large murals. He took time to research authentic Hispanic heritage and put great effort into creating the best design to suite our spaces. He has done a number of projects with us and each time they get better and better. I highly recommend Richard and his team, they are top notch!

Richard is an incredibly talented artist. He is able to take your ideas/vision, and translate them into master pieces. We have had 3 residential murals painted in our home. He also did fantastic work with stain glass and paintings at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church on Maple. He also specializes in outdoor building, retail, and commercial murals. Strongly recommend Richard for any residential, religious, corporate, retail, or commercial work. Additionally, Richard is extremely trust worthy, and a good man.

Richard completed a two-wall mural in our basement that is absolutely beautiful. A beach scene with long stretches of beach, beach furniture, a dolphin, a submarine and two cruise ships. We just told him what the beach means to us and he took it from there. Highly recommend Richard and his team!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A ballpark for our murals is about $25 a square foot. Our faux finishes are between 5 and 10 dollars a square foot. The higher end of the texture work is for plaster finishes such as American Clay, which we are uniquely certified to apply.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We listen to what the clients, or communities, would like to see us paint, then we bring sketches or samples to subsequent meetings. Se work to stay true to the agreed upon samples and sketches, while learning from their feedback. Usually we have an upfront cost for the sample and sketch which gets worked into the total estimate if we agree to go forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Richard has an Master of Fine Arts degree from North Carolina School for the Arts, and many of our team members have degrees in Art and Art History. Richard was trained and certified to apply American Clay Plaster from the manufacturer in New Mexico. Most of us have safety certification to work on swing stages and scaffolding.
