You may think all piano tuners will do the same job. But my experience with Adam Baker was exceptional. Extremely courteous, and understanding when I had to reschedule our appointment last-minute. There were also many things going on in my house while he tuned, and he was not bothered. An outstanding job for an affordable price!

Continuo does a wonderful job tuning and working on pianos. Richard-the technician, has years of experience working with pianos (has even built keyboard instruments) but also is a great musician so has very good ears, a necessary thing for tuning, voicing, and repairing pianos. As a professional pianist in the area, I have played on and taught on a number of pianos they have serviced and they are always great!! When people ask me for a tuner or piano technician, I tell them to call Continuo. Dave Childs

I recently had the pleasure of using Mr. Tom Van Ness’s piano tuning and repair services on my grandparent’s old upright piano. I cannot say enough good things about the experience; 5 gold star gold rating and I’d sing his praises from the rooftops if I could sing. I did a lot of research prior to selecting a professional for tuning and repairing the piano as I’m a little leery of strangers and what you can find on the internet. I got a good vibe from what he had to say on his website and the reviews I read and I’m glad I trusted my instincts. He responded immediately to emails, provided me with the courtesy of a confirmation phone call and arrived promptly at our scheduled appointment time. He arrived prepared and immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and unassuming demeanor. Many piano tuners have and air of arrogance, but not Tom, he effortlessly and seamlessly dismantled the piano all the while thoroughly answering my barrage of annoying questions with patience and aplomb. He’s like the type of person that you want at Thanksgiving because he’s led such an interesting life and was such a gentleman to my grandmother and to me, it was reminiscent of old school manners. He was efficient and yet paid so much attention to detail; providing the perfect balance of being personal yet proficient. He obviously takes pride in his work and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with his services. He gave me an estimate upfront after taking a look at the piano and was more than reasonable with the price and after spending a very long time fine tuning and repairing the piano still didn’t charge me a penny more than most other professionals would have. I feel like he gave me a budget price for first class luxury service. In a world where everyone relies on technology and interpersonal skills are lacking, Tom provides the rare benefit of tuning by ear and his years of experience to provide the best service. Like a classic piano, or beautiful brownstone, they just don’t make people like that anymore. And for the record he didn’t coerce me into saying any nice things about him, he’s too much of a gentleman to even think of something like that, I was just genuinely so impressed with him and his work that I felt deeply compelled to write this recommendation. Anyway, the piano sounds beautiful, better than I ever remember it sounding; understanding what he was given to work with and the amazing price I paid for his services, he may be part magician. He has true heart and genuine talent and is all around a wonderful person and you would be lucky to have him work on your piano. I will definitely be using his services again soon and wouldn’t even fathom looking elsewhere because there is no one better in my opinion.

Ken is not only a wonderful piano tuner, but a great man. He arrived as scheduled and began tuning, but found that a few of the hammers were broken and needed to be replaced (the piano was built in 1901). That said, he took the workings with him to do the work in his shop. He returned the next week, with his wife, and finished the tuning - giving an impromptu concert before leaving. His price was extremely fair - and I look forward to having Ken take care of my piano in the future.

I've used John for years to tune and service my grand piano. John has an excellent ear, and I love the way it sounds when he has tuned it. He also has a good eye for detail when it comes to the piano's action. Very reasonable rates as well.
