"I really like the way he handled himself when the homeowner questioned his findings . He determined the roof was lacking the proper framing and ventilation which angered the homeowner, this is when Zach offered him a book (that was meant for me) explaining exactly what he meant. My real estate agent was so satisfied with his experience as a home inspector that she even took a stack of his cards to give away to her co-workers. He is very knowledgeable of all construction aspects. I HIGHLY recommend him. If the agent would hire him to inspect her homes you should also !!"

Why do you hire a home inspector? To save you from financial ruin and an unbelievable amount of unforeseen work/stress. Ken is the only reason we are finally closing on our dream home Tuesday morning on a home we are so proud and excited to buy... And we avoided spending, or I should say wasting, $150,000 on a subpar gut rehab done by a "Quick flipper" Who calls himself a "contractor" Don't risk complicating your life and ruining it by getting duped. Hire Ken to mitigate all risk in your transaction. I should mention upfront that both times I needed him to inspect a home for me he managed to do it with little notice and he drove at least an hour and a half or two hours each way to make it to me. He's exactly what you want in a home inspector. Caring, modern, experienced. The next time you wonder whether spending the extra money on a home inspector is actually worth it, remember the review that told you that this man save me at least 150K. He helped us see things like how the seller had demonstrated corner cutting that was unexplainable and so obviously unacceptable. The siding was even touching the dirt on the ground, causing moisture to wick up through the plywood walls. All the wood throughout the entire ranch home was warped. While the seller blamed his subcontractor, Ken knew the real reason: moisture. Ken has what a good home inspector needs – of course you need someone with integrity and expertise. However what he others on top is an unshakable drive to get up every day and make a difference in people's lives in a real way you can feel. After working with Ken you and your significant other can make a better decision to either run for the hills or run to your mortgage broker or bank to make a happy decision after inspecting the house. Instead of a nightmare, we are moving into a house that is $100K less and actually turnkey. So turnkey in fact, that it has endless hot water with a tankless high efficient furnace and water heater in one, that has a 12"x18 wall mounted furnace beauty like I've never seen before. We don't even have to touch the toilets to flush. Patience + home inspector = dreams coming true. These are my two prerequisite and rule for the equation for anyone buying a home who wants a relatively stress-free transaction - as little as it could be anyway. He is somebody who I have hired multiple times and have recommended to every real estate agent in my area.

This is the longest-running real estate office in Union, and one of the longest established in the state of NJ. They really treat you great and know what they are doing. Completely trustworthy and ethical. I recommend them highly. I have dealt with a number of other offices in the area, and White Realty is by far the best.

    What is a home inspection?

    A home inspection is a visual inspection performed by a trained professional to determine the condition of a home’s main elements. The inspection usually takes several hours, during which the professional takes multiple photos and notes, tracking information for a final report. After the inspection, the pro will create a printed report, complete with photos and detailed information, summarizing the condition of the house. A home inspection is often used by potential home buyers prior to purchase to determine if there are larger issues (such as dry rot or a faulty foundation) that are not immediately visible to the untrained eye but that would cost a lot of money to resolve. Home inspections are also used by real estate agents and home sellers to address any concerns before putting a home on the market. Longtime homeowners can also schedule a home inspection to get a snapshot of their current home condition and identify any issues that need to be addressed. A home inspection is not a legal document that can be used for divorce or estate settlements, nor can it be used to secure loans or mortgages.

    What does a real estate agent do?

    Real estate agents help their clients buy, sell, and rent commercial and residential properties. There are also real estate agents that sell industrial and agricultural real estate, but the majority sell residential properties. To become a real estate agent, you must be at least 18 years old, successfully complete real estate courses, and pass a real estate exam. Be sure to check for any required licensing, too.     How do you find a good home inspector?

    A home inspection should tell you the true condition of a home. A competent home inspector closely inspects your home’s structure and foundation, looks for termites and signs of problems like mold, checks the wiring to ensure it’s in good condition, and investigates the HVAC system, among other items. To find a good home inspector, first research whether home inspection is licensed in your area; not all states require licensure.

    If there is no regulatory body that licenses home inspection in your state, there are other ways to make sure you are hiring a trustworthy professional. Carefully look into the person’s reviews and ask for references. Ask if they are committed to continuing education, and whether they are active members in any reputable home inspector organizations. Some organizations that recognize and/or certify home inspectors are the American Society of Home Inspectors, National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, and American Home Inspectors Training. Don’t be shy about asking to see credentials and licensing.

    What's the difference between a real estate broker and an agent?

    Real estate agents and real estate brokers both help clients buy, sell, and rent residential and commercial properties. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, real estate brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate agents cannot have their own real estate office and must work under a broker. Real estate brokers often have real estate firms and employ real estate agents.
