I have thoroughly enjoyed by Spanish lessons with Gloria. She is well organised and structured in her approach to teaching which is so helpful especially when you are a beginner and trying to grasp the basics. Each lessons has been uniquely customized to my level and progress. Gloria is extremely patient and finds ways to keep the lessons fun and interesting while at the same time making them challenging enough to enable you to progress. Gloria is an excellent teacher and I cant recommend her enough!
Beatrice is a positive and committed professional who takes great pride in teaching her students. She takes the time to compose the language lesson to meet your individual needs. I am thoroughly enjoying my Spanish lessons and I appreciate Beatrice's patience and humor!! Also, she is a great communicator and checks to make sure that all lessons are scheduled and confirmed.
Roberto is an excellent teacher! He is patient and starts off as slow or fast as your individual needs may require. Roberto made the lessons fun and engaging with a lot of conversation, which is what I needed most from my Spanish lessons. In a short amount of time I was able to speak quite a bit of Spanish, enough to even communicate with locals in South America while I was on vacation. I would highly recommend Roberto if you are someone looking to learn or improve your Spanish while having a lot of fun and spending that time with a very cool guy.
Karina is top notch. I was not sure what to expect with distance learning via Skype, but she is well prepared and her website's virtual classroom in combination with Skype is as good as being in the same room. I would recommend Karina / Chelingua to anyone interested in a structured approach to learning Spanish or continuing their studies in Spanish (as is the case with me).
It is very apparent that Clemencia enjoys teaching Spanish. She is pleasant and thorough.
10/20/15 I wanted to write a review about Cross Cultural Communications in regard to my Spanish lessons. I had tried to learn Spanish in Berlitz in Princeton, NJ years ago, and the program of learning grammar and memorizing words did not resonate with my learning ability. I wanted to learn the language of Spanish but also the culture. At Cross Cultural Communications I got a native speaking teacher that made the language learning more interesting combined with cultural knowledge. I learned and retained much more using this method and it keeps me coming back to learn more and more. The Westwood, NJ location is convenient for me and the pricing of the classes are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this center for Spanish language lessons combined with cultural learning. Satisfied Customer â Saddle River, NJ Muchas Gracias
Luanna is an excellent teacher who quickly understands the need sof the student, adapts the lesson plan to what she sees is needed and brings a lot of creativity and flexibility to making it happen. Into third month of Portuguese classes now and learning faster than I expected.
Victoria is a wonderful teacher and person. We started understanding and combining simple phrases while travelling in Spanish speaking country after couple of months of her lessons. And after a year I already had working knowledge of Spanish.
Professor Humberto is an incredible professional and human being. Always kind, calm and responsive. His classes are thoughtful and tailored to our needs. I truly appreciate my experience with him and fully recommend him to anyone interested in deepening Spanish skills.
Martha is an excellent Spanish tutor. She works well with my 8th grade son, and she has helped him become comfortable with the language. His scores have risen thanks to her.
I love the Italian language and culture and realized my speaking abilities from my university studies were rustier than I thought during a recent trip to Italy this past summer. Upon my return to the States, I immediately sought private tutoring and I could not be more satisfied in finding Mariateresa. I've seen vast improvement in my comprehension and speaking since I started taking lessons with her. The first couple months were focused on fundamentals and book work but now each lesson begins with about 30 mins of conversation (in Italian of course) before diving into books. I cannot recommend Mariateresa enough regardless of your comprehension level because not only does she challenge me every week to improve my skill but the time spent with her is very enjoyable and something I look forward to every week.
Maria is a great tutor she makes Spanish so accessible and fun to learn! She is the best tutor I have had! My grade have constantly gotten better and better since we started!
Claudia is an excellent Spanish teacher. I feel like I am learning so much!
I've been taking online basic Spanish classes with this school for a few months now. I've tried to learn Spanish a few times before, but the structure of these classes is excellent compared to most. We started with the basics in present tense, and we are gradually building it up to the future and past. I've learned more in these classes than previous ones I've taken, which is saying something!
Saul is a very talented and patient teacher. He takes his time getting to know what you want out of lessons, and is very flexible in his approach. When one way wasn't working, he found another. As someone who desperately wanted and needed to learn guitar, but sorely lacking in "natural ability", he was a perfect fit for me as a teacher. He brought me a long, LONG way in a short period of time. I highly recommend him!
From an early age, my parents stimulated my foreign language interest with Spanish language learning records and a French dictionary. Then in high school I took as many foreign language courses as possible in order to initiate my knowledge of Latin, Spanish, and French. My best foreign language learning experience in college was 2 years of residence in a French dorm, La Maison Francaise, where French became my second language. Then Spanish became my third language after my summer in Barcelona. When I graduated, I taught both languages in Pennsylvania public schools and received my permanent certification in both subjects. Since then I have also studied Italian, Modern Greek, Danish, and German. As a foreign language student now, I know the fear of responding incorrectly to a teacher's/tutor's questions, and in my tutoring I strive for an open atmosphere in which students feel free to ask questions to increase their comprehension and enjoyment of speaking, reading, writing and listening to Spanish or French.
Spanish tutor. Friendly, patient, well prepared, and supplied new books and learning materials that were more than adequate. Most importantly, Damaris was flexible in setting up appointments and shows up on time.
I speak both English and Spanish fluently, and I'm willing to work with schedules to comply with my clients. I'm also good at reviewing and working to improve fitness and health plans as well as setting up a daily work routine that will kick your butt but give you the results you're looking for!
