I tried acting for the first time with Gregory. I had no experience. Gregory met with me one-on-one to explain the method he teaches. I couldn't wait to start. It's been 10 classes since then, and I'm hooked! Gregory is a fantastic teacher. He is intuitive and knows how to help you reach your potential. He creates a safe space to explore and experience acting. His teachings resonate both in and out of the classroom. He facilitates a professional learning environment that is positive, supportive, and fun!

"Ava is magic. Working with her on all sorts of audition material and genres, I always walk out of my coaching feeling more confident, more grounded, and more prepared. She has this exquisite ability in zapping into my personal strengths as an actor and guide me into using them through the material in a very human and honest way. She also makes the process fun, which I carry with me into the audition room." Aimée Cucchiaro actor/singer/life coach

Shannon is a very gifted acting coach. She helped me book and AMC show from a self-tape, an episode of a half-hour comedy on TV Land and to get a call back to a producer session for a guest starring role on CBS. She gives individual attention and has never coached me by rote. She truly works with the actor in front of her. In the many times I’ve gone to her, she’s taken her time, worked with me until I felt comfortable and confident, and by the end, made it all feel so simple and clear that once I walked through the audition room door I was at ease in my talent, my moment-to-moment work, and the story that the writers needed to see to know that I could do the job. She, quite naturally, helped me to get to the point where I could just bring myself without the worry of what to do or not to do. She also served as my vocal coach on the most recent production I directed and was able to guide the cast to decisions and choices that they were struggling with, creating a decisive and clear line of action with each actor. She works well with individuals and groups. I’d gladly recommend her to any actor with a big audition coming up or to any actor just looking to develop their on-camera acting skill. -Carter Gill

Rebecca is great! She's so sweet and had so much knowledge. I have been a singer for a while, and have just gotten back into it. She has great tips on control and support and make you feel very comfortable during her lessons. No judgement what-so ever!

Ralf is super fun! And really good and communicating... He seems to really know his stuff when it comes to acting, and has a really eloquent way of explaining it. He is really enjoyable to be around and creates an environment that I always look forward to coming back to. It's rare for someone to truly give you their full attention.

Rosalie video coached me when I was targeting commercial casting agents. She covered everything from helping me come up with a list of reputable agents in my market to target, what my "type" is commercially, what to look for in a good commercial headshot, and she even took me through a mock interview to be prepared for agent meetings. She is very kind, supportive, direct, and super funny. Her experience in this business enables her to offer sound advice and guidance and she goes above and beyond to help you feel prepared for auditions and interviews. I ended up working with an agent shortly after! Five stars!

I started lessons at Total Theatre Lab with Caroline Thomas a bout a year ago. I knew absolutely nothing about acting aside from taking a class at my local college. This was nothing like it. I first met Caroline for tea so we could discuss my goals and what kind of acting I would like to pursue and a little bit of my background. I was a musician for 16 years and lost most of my hearing playing loud concerts and festival shows before working in loud dog kennels. I wanted to do something different in the performance field and I was very into television drama and dramedy. Within the next few weeks she had picked out the perfect monologue for me to get started on. In time I joined the group class where I learned more about improv, sense memory, movement, scene work, and was able to use a lot of my production skills from both music and working on tv and movie sets to help make our finalized videos look top notch! I'd recommend studying with Caroline to anyone who wants to learn how to act the right way. Her past successes are only a part of the great work she does. She is putting out highly trained professional actors ready for the big screen and theatres!

Jake Stamatis is an excellent instructor for voice lessons. Since day 1, He is able to adjust his instructions to his students to where they would benefit the student the most. He has helped me find comfort in singing with my voice and helping me differentiate between singing and screaming. I have been taking lessons from Stamatis for several months and I can say that I have improved dramatically since my first lesson with Stamatis. It was inconceivable for me to think that I could ever have vibrato, but after rigorous training during and in my own time, I am understanding how to use vibrato through the use of breath. I honestly do not think that I would have gotten this far without the help of Stamatis. I did not think that I would be comfortable with my singing voice, but Stamatis has largely affected my perspective. Also, he's a jokester so beware for his jokes. Overall, I enjoy having Stamatis as my instructor.

Jeremy taught me so much about how to be an effective public speaker and interview candidate. I have worked with him for two years now and have been able to use the techniques Jeremy gave me in several places and feel so much more confident about what I’m doing! I used to be totally terrified about getting up in front of groups to speak, but Jeremy gave me specific things to do before, during and after and it’s so much easier. Also, some of the acting exercises we worked on are really fun and I can do them in my daily life to improve my diction and communication skills. Such a great value and I feel he tailored his work to exactly what I needed. I still work with him when I need a brush up or when I’m prepping for something important.

I studied with Josh a few times to prepare for an audition which consisted in two contrasting monologues. Josh provided very direct feedback which I appreciated. He was also able to help me tweak a few things so I could land more. I highly recommend his valuable help and insightful comments.

    About

Am I good at teaching voice? No. I'm really good at teaching voice. Do you think you're tone deaf? Sure, I'll get you singing karaoke in no time, but if you're pretty good and need some serious technical training. That's my thing. I have degrees from three conservatories (Eastman, Moores, and San Francisco) and teach singing the way it has been taught for hundreds of years, but I use modern technology to augment success and bring fast results. One thing though, I'll only work with serious and committed students. You don't have to be a professional, but I will only work with singers who take it seriously and want improvement.
