Amber is wonderful musician and teacher. I started getting violin lessons from her about 5 months ago. I was a complete beginner so I had to start from square one. And, I have yo admit, I found the idea of learning to play the violin really daunting. But I am so happy I found such a great teacher. Amber is always very patient and encouraging. She takes her time and plays along with me during my lessons. I am surprised how much I've learned in such a short time, not only about the violin, but about music in general. Best of all her enthusiasm for music is contagious. My lessons with her are fun and the fact that I'm having fun makes me want to practice even more. My experience with Amber has been so great! I definitely recommend her as a teacher.
I am fortunate to have found a dedicated and professional violin teacher for my two children. Miss Victoria has a great personality and is able to keep them focused and motivated. My daughter was especially taken immediately with her encouraging and supportive approach. Their hand position and technique are much improved since starting with Miss Victoria.
I have experience 2 great violin lessons with Carol. She definitely knows her music and has a love and appreciation for teaching it. Carol is patience, nurturing and easy going. I find her to be an awesome music teacher and I feel blessed to have her as my violin teacher can't wait for next weeks lesson. Beginner Violin student
Dorothy played violin for my September wedding ceremony as well as the violin part for our first dance song. She is a true professional and an all around pleasure to work with in any capacity! Her skills with the violin have only increased over the past few years and she is an absolutely beautiful player. I could seriously listen to her playing all day. Additionally, Dorothy was very helpful in picking out the music for the ceremony. I have a lot of experience singing with choirs during Catholic masses but I was overwhelmed by trying to select pieces to use during our mass and wedding ceremony. Dorothy and I Skyped, she played little segments to remind me of the songs and then we made our selections together. Thanks to her guidance, this process was quick and painless. She also worked long distance with the church music director and I heard only positive feedback from the other musicians and church staff. Even with being states away from me and the church, Dorothy pulled off a beautiful set without even breaking a sweat. I can still hear the sounds of her beautiful violin on our wedding day and it brings such joy to think about. If you are considering Dorothy for any project, do not hesitate. She is the best decision you could possibly make!
Danton has been our children's piano instructor for over a year and I can honestly say that he has connected with them in a way their previous instructors did not. Both kids have made good progress because his approach to teaching them the fundamentals first helps them to actually learn to read music, instead of just memorizing their lessons. He makes learning fun, which helps maintain their interest in the lessons and it makes it easier to get them to practice regularly. I am happy to say they no longer try to get out their weekly piano lessons, and they take pride in their progress. Danton is not only a great musical talent, but also a skilled teacher and motivator.
Rebekah has been giving my son violin lessons since April and he has improved so much. She is very patient and knowledgeable and I couldn't have chosen a better person to teach my son. I highly recommend her.
Mr. Raval has a special gift for teaching with encouragement, high standards, and clear instruction that inspire his students to achieve. He is very professional, kind and warm. He taught our daughter for 5 1/2 years and is a terrific role model even beyond violin lessons. We recommend him highly and without reservation!
I think Julie is an awesome teacher. I'm in my 20's and was looking for someone to teach me the saxophone. I was a total beginner, and Julie was so patient from the beginning. During each lesson, Julie taught me new things while enforcing the ideas she taught the previous lessons so that I would work on perfecting one skill while learning a new one, which encouraged me to continue practicing and working on the skills. Overall, I think Julie is a wonderful amd talented teacher that really knows how to teach each student on their own level, and I'm so grateful to have taken lessons with her.
Pearl is an excellent teacher she is patient, polite, and she works with the student to accommodate the student's musical level. I am so glad that I have found a professional that affords me the opportunity to learn the violin and enjoy my instructors teaching.
She is a professional violinist and also a very good teacher for someone who wants to advance the technique in violin. Highly recommended!!
Hezi is a wonderful teacher! He is patient and understands the importance of having strong fundamental skills. Hezi also teaches in the classical style, which I prefer to the Suzuki method. He has always been flexible and accommodating when working out a schedule for lessons with me.
Allison is a wonderful violin instructor! She is kind and patient and allows my 6 year old to learn at her own pace. Allison is also positive and encouraging which puts my daughter at ease during lessons. I am so impressed with all that she has learned over the past months. Allison is very professional and never cancels sessions. I highly recommend Allison's Violin Studio!
Very skilled and knowledgeable. Flexible in teaching approach to address goals of adult student and to adapt lessons accordingly. Positive reinforcement a plus, combined with post-lesson emails summarizing items to work on in preparation for the next lesson. Highly recommended for an adult seeking beginner or intermediate/advanced violin instruction.

I am doing a doctoral degree in violin performance. I have a passion for teaching students and I have been teaching for about eight years. I teach beginner to advanced, ages six to an adult.
I have taught private violin and viola lessons for over 10 years to students ages 5-adult. I offer Suzuki-style or traditional instruction, and I am happy to tailor lessons to fit my students' musical aspirations! I enjoy the variety of personalities, abilities, and goals of my students.
Every student is different, so I tailor my lesson plans around the student's specific learning style and needs. Ultimately, my goal is for my students to love music and love playing the violin as much as I do. I encourage students to listen to as much music as they can and if there is ever a specific song or piece they want to I am more than happy to incorporate it into the lesson! For younger students and beginners, I use Essential Elements or Suzuki books. I believe it is important to learn to read music from a young age, so I incorporate that into lessons for beginners. Scales and etudes are also key to providing a strong foundation for young students. A similar approach is also used for adult beginners. For intermediate students I utilize the Solos for Young Violinists books as they provide a nice transition into more extensive solo repertoire. Depending on the need of the student, I might also pick specific pieces outside of the books that I think will enhance their learning. Scales and more advanced etudes are also key. For advanced students, I generally pick suitable pieces from the violin repertoire. I believe the reason we learn music is to be able to play and share it with others, so I like to incorporate duets to play with the student as much as possible. Scales and more difficult etudes are also incorporated.
I offer great lessons from an experienced professional teacher and performer. I have taught on faculty at two of the nation's leading preparatory schools and had private students in violin, viola, musicianship and composition for 20 years. I tailor my lessons to the needs and aspirations of the students. All ages are welcome.
