Larry is a great tutor. My daughter was struggling with a difficult Chinese class and thanks to his classes over a period of 6 months her grade went up to B+ and A. He is very encouraging and also someone who gave her great advise. I strongly recommend him.
Angela is a great tutor. I started not knowing a word of Chinese and now I'm approx HSK 5 level. 她是一个非常好的老师也非常帮助我提高我的中文。
Her teaching style is very effective. We started speaking only Chinese from the 4th lesson onwards, which really helped me with my tones and sentence structures. We spend 40% of the time on reading and writing and Angela helped me develop mnemonics for characters and for stroke orders. The materials she recommended were really useful and she augmented the syllabus with external media and readings.
She also introduced me to different aspects of Chinese culture. We went to Chinese restaurants and Chinese shops several times to practise Chinese.
Would totally recommend!
She is the best teacher I have ever seen. Great patience and knowledge. She taught my son(7 years old) Chinese, he loves getting along with her. Very decent girl behaves well all the time. Lan, you are the best
Mina has been teaching my three children, ages 10, 8 and 6, for the past six months. She is a dedicated teacher who is able to teach Mandarin to them in a fun and engaging way - my children look forward to lessons each week. They are eager to practice what they've learned and are proud of their progress. Mina understands the needs and learning styles of each child. I would highly recommend Mina to anyone who is interested in having their children learn Mandarin.
Mara is a talented and insightful teacher. During the time I worked with her, my tone and intonation improved considerably. She expanded my musical horizons and gave me essential tools I continue to use in my singing.

I am an individual with a very unusual linguistic and cultural background. I grew up in NJ amid a rustic form of Venetian spoken at home and first brought to the Bronx by maternal grandparents, who are Italian immigrants. My grandmother has inspired my love of both Italy and the peninsula's rich tapestry of regional cultures. I received a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to study dialectology at the University of Venice in 2006-2007. After that very fruitful and memorable year of linguistic and cultural dialogue, I went on to graduate study at the University of Chicago, where, even in an Introductory Italian course, I was able to reach all my students with Italy's very diverse history.
I moved from Hong Kong to the States in 2011, so I can speak both English and Chinese.
Cantonese is my native language, but I speak Mandarin too.
I can teach all day on Sundays as well as Mondays to Thursdays after 5 p.m.
I am a horseback riding instructor, level two international, in the British Horse Society. I can teach dressage, jumping, and three-days event.
I have a bachelor in English, and because I am a native Italian speaker, I can teach Italian language, grammar and conversation.
