Best voice lessons I've ever had. I've tried speech therapy over the years, but Cathleen is more practical and I'm already using my voice skills.

Valerie is a warm and friendly piano instructor. My son took to her teaching style immediately and did not display his normal shyness. He was so exited by the experience of his first lesson, that he immediately wanted to practice when we got home. Thanks Val!

My piano lessons began on December 16, 2016 when I was 58 years old. I had never played a musical instrument in my life and took a leap of faith in this new endeavor. I am completely satisfied with my learning experience. In fact, I feel so fortunate to have met Joyce Hamilton. I was looking for a professional piano teacher who was educated and polished, not simply taking on a hobby. I am pleased with Joyce because she has high standards for me no matter what. I never feel intimidated by her and I always feel comfortable being with her. What I find most wonderful about my piano lessons is that I am not rushed; Joyce is not only about goal setting but also about the progress in the moment. This aspect is far more important to me at this time in my life. Joyce has students of all ages; in fact, my 14 year-old granddaughter just began taking piano lessons from her. One can see crayons and rewards in her studio for the little ones and when I am taking a lesson I record her playing a piece on my smartphone so I may hear the rhythm and see her fingerings during the week when I practice. The most important teaching characteristic that I value from Joyce is her integrity. I want a teacher that is honest with me about my playing. I want to hear the truth about all aspects of my piano playing...positive and negative. Yet she is always kind and supportive when I miss the mark. The reason that I am still learning to play the piano a year later is because of my teacher...because of Joyce. Bernadette

Hello! So, you want to learn how to sing? Perhaps you want to learn how to speak more effectively using your voice. Vocal dynamics, timbre (texture), range and agility can all be improved upon in both your speaking and singing voices. I can help guide you on your journey. I am a NATS member (National Association of Teachers of Singing), vocal improviser (I've studied with the greats including Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon and Dave Worm). I have a Psychology degree and am a licensed massage therapist. I've been singing since age six and a lifelong music student. I believe everyone has a right to sing and a beautiful voice waiting to be born. I teach in a positive, body balanced way to help you achieve your authentic voice. I use classic Vocalease and introduce my students to vocal improvisation, which gives you a huge advantage.

Greetings! I am currently a UNM music student, majoring in vocal performance and foreign languages. I am looking forward to giving some private voice lessons to anyone who's interested in singing classical music/repertoires, participating in competitions/auditions, training, etc. Let me know about your expectations. You will not only learn how to sing but also acquire proper techniques, breathing, artistic interpretation, as well as cultivate a style to your voice. I am excited to use my international training experience to work with you.

I offer great voice lessons in a laid back environment. Good for all ages. This is a good class for beginners and intermediate students.

I offer voice, theory, and aural training. All ages are welcome; no experience is necessary. I can provide a resume upon request.

While I enjoy working with singers of all ages, my studio places emphasis on the young voice beginning at age nine. The goal is to build a good vocal technique which will endure for a lifetime. High school students are usually accepted with scholarships to the music school or college of their first choice.
