There is so much I can say about Aniko and the job she did for me but I will keep it simple. She was amazing from start to finish. She made me a beautiful Mural to hang on my accent wall and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Complete turn around from project start to finish was only a week. She was extremely punctual as well as accommodating. The artwork I finally selected, with her help is exactly what I was looking for. She even took the time to send me the history/backstory of the piece of art I chose. She went above and beyond for me and I could not be happier. Her son also accompanied her and assisted with the project. He was just as friendly, polite, and knowledgeable as Aniko was. Together they make a great team. When it was time to hang my art, they supplied everything needed and hung it beautifully. Every bit of detail was thought of. I HIGHLY recommend her and her son for any art projects you may be considering!

I’m so grateful to have found Aniko. She communicated effectively from the beginning, helping me to feel confident with my custom investment. She came by for a free consultation and allowed us to take a look at her portfolios… we were sold! It took her 2 days to finish our wall (about 13’ x 9’ I believe). She took my vision, made it her own and brought it to life. During our move in, our family would stop and take breaks and just sit quietly watching her work. Aniko is not just a genius with the paint brush, but she is kind, funny, and engaging. Her son (Assistant) was also very kind and professional, consistently cheering us on in our new move and supportive of the project. We’ve already received so many compliments and are looking forward to working with Aniko again soon for a mural in our garage.

I contacted Aniko on a Friday and the project was completed by the next Monday. She was very easy to work with and completed everything she said she would. I had an idea of two dog houses painted on the wall in the laundry room. She immediately had a sketch and the final painting was beyond anything I could have dreamed up. It was fantastic. I highly recommend Aniko!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The cost of a wall mural is determined by size, level of intricacy/detail and location, such as wall, ceiling or other materials, height, and whether exterior or interior space to be painted. Most mural prices are given per-square-footage and usually range between $16-$35/sq.ft. The larger the mural the less expensive the pricing is per-square-foot. Some murals may require extensive staging (i.e.: high or ceiling murals), cost for those projects will be discussed separately.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My approach to design is to collaborate with my clients as much as they wish to participate in the creative process. It is essential that we begin the design process with a clear description of the "feel" or "mood" and style of the mural. This is typically achieved through a collaborative brainstorming session, and by sharing visual ideas and images that might inspire the artwork. Based on our initial design discussion, I will create a draft and ask for your feedback. If needed, I will prepare a revised draft to integrate your feedback. Revision may include up to two sets of changes by you. The design draft that we agree on becomes a roadmap — not an exact literal representation of what the finished work of art will look like, because a mural really happens on the wall and not on paper. However, knowing the roadmap and “signposts” — having a clear design direction — is imperative for a successful project. Painting I paint wall murals onsite (days and hours) as the client can accommodate. I create portable pieces in my home studio. I like to touch base regularly as the work progresses to ensure that expectations are being met and everything is on the right track. In order to create my best works of art, it is important to let a more intuitive creative process take over when I am painting, so during painting I might tweak the colors, scale and composition relative to the immediate onsite environment. My focus is on getting things right, and I work until we are both satisfied with the results. I will also let you know when I am close to completion so we can review the work together and create a list of final tweaks that are needed. After making the final adjustments, the mural is complete.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    College degree in fine art.
