Introduction: What makes my studio stand out, is the finished product. I hold recitals twice each year, and my students go out into the community and perform. I am an active member of the Las Vegas Music Teacher's Association with 25 years of teaching experience and I take my career very seriously! I also offer discounts, which is also a plus and not every private instructor does that! Studio rates are as follows: In studio (student comes to location for lessons) $30 per half hour, $45 per 45 minute lesson, $60 per hour lesson. In home (Instructor drives to student's location) $35 per half hour lesson, $52.50 per 45 minute lesson, $70.00 per hour lesson. I love that every day is a different day. It's not the typical, hum-drum job that one has, punching in in the morning and punching out at the end of the day. Each lesson I teach is different, each student is different, and I love the one on one interaction in my studio.

As a former music major and a professional singer I wouldn't trust just anyone with teaching my children piano. Amy is an exceptional teacher in every possible way. My son began piano at 4.5 years old and she has that perfect combo of immense patience and the ability to keep the kids on track. My son has really grown as a pianist and I doubt he'd be where he is today under someone else's instruction. I am incredibly picky in this area, and I truly believe Amy sets the bar for any piano teacher.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Studio rates: 30 min lesson: $30.00 45 min lesson: $45.00 60 min lesson: $60.00 In-Home rates with travel fee: 30 min lesson: $35.00 60 min lesson: $70.00 45 minute lessons are not available for in home lessons at this time. Payments are collected at the beginning of each month. The first lesson is free, and if you prepay before the month, either in person or by mail, you get 10% off!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is big. Whether lessons are taught in the studio, or in the student's home, he or she MUST have a parent (or legal guardian) present. Parent participation is important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I attend workshops, festivals and events held by the Las Vegas Music Teacher's Association and I get to "talk shop" with other teachers, for the purpose of bettering my studio.
