I rescued a handsome year old German Shepherd and found myself in need of some doggy discipline! This high energy boy needed more direction than I was able to give him. Denise quickly and effectively assessed Mr. Shenanigan's temperament and attention span and developed a one-on-one program to get my boy on track! He is now a happy, outgoing, and dog and people friendly member of society. I highly recommend AKA Dog Obedience and Denise!
Melissa is really good at training our German Shepherd! Our puppy has experienced a 180 degree turn around in behavior!
I board Kody my Aussie Border Collie with Carol. What a wonderful pleasant place. I never have to worry about Kody when he is there. Kody has learned from Carol and has made many friends. I leave Kody there, whether it be on long trips or over night stays when I have to work extended hours. I would highly recommend Carol for your pets home away from home. Having never boarded my animals before, I am Thankful for Carol
My family and I recently adopted our first rescue dog named Mary. She is about 1 year and 3 months old. As soon as we introduced her to the house, her high energy became very apparent, (constant digging, play biting, jumping and destroying the house when we left) she was also extremely timid towards other people (especially men) I really wanted to train her but I wasn't sure on how to go about it. I saw The Doug Trainer on a training website and decided to contact him. THE BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. After 4 hours of being with him, my mom and I have learned so much about ourselves it was mind blowing. We became aware of what we were doing and how our body language affected Mary. Since she is an imbalanced dog, and doesn't have a balanced behavior, we have to be more patient than ever, and Doug showed us how to do that. After the session, Mary was already showing so many signs of improvement. I got her to submit to me, and for the first time, I was able to grab her ball and throw it, without her trying to nip or jump... I recommend everyone to see this man. He knows what he is doing and is a complete blessing!!! I can't wait to continue this journey and learn more about myself and Mary. Thank you so much Doug!!
I had been given Anniina's name by a friend of mine whom I volunteer with at a local dog rescue, for animal behaviorism. My husband and I had just adopted a 5 year old male Maine Coon cat, Muskat. We presently have 2 German Shepherd dogs and 1 domestic cat, Oreo. I have been around animals all my life and feel very comfortable with dog behavior and introducing dogs to cats. However, I have never had 2 cats before, and Oreo had been a rescue cat when she was 10 weeks old and has always been an ONLY cat (she is now 14 years old). Needless to say, the cat intro did not go well. It was clear that Muskat had been around other cats, but Oreo was not having any of it. So, that's when I reached out to Anniina. Anniina was very honest from the beginning, admitting that she's never been asked to come to help out with cats (more specifically she works with dogs), but assured us that she has ample experience with cats. Anniina was so professional, flexible and forthright. She came to our home and was able to offer suggestions and put our minds at ease, that eventually, Oreo and Muskat will likely be able to reside in the same home, without any major fights. She gave suggestions and advice that was very clear cut. We followed all of her advice, and we can happily say that in less than two months we are now all happily co-existing (only an occasional hiss from Miss Oreo). Anniina has stayed available via text and I have reached out to her several times after her first visit. She's always responsive and never blew me off. I would HIGHLY recommend Anniina to anyone who has behavior problems with both dogs and cats!!
I adore this woman and cannot recommend her strongly enough! I have a dog whos skittish around strangers. Melissa walked into my house, read her behavior and gave Cali the space she needed. Within ten minutes Melissa was throwing a tennis ball for Cali, who was happily fetching, and they were suddenly best friends. I knew I had found my dog walker! Melissa has a special way with understanding what animals need to feel comfortable. I also have two cats who absolutely adore her, and they're a little shy around strangers too. But Melissa came into my home and quickly became part of the family. Her prices are very reasonable and you get a ton of bang for your buck. My favorite part of her services is that she always takes cute pictures of the animals and texts them to me after her visit. I love getting those texts in the middle of my work day, and it makes me feel so good to know that my animals are taken care of in my absence. Aside from daily dog walking, I've also used Melissa for pet sitting while I'm out of town, and have received the same kind of amazing service. It's hard to leave your animals for a day or a week or whatever. But when you know that they are being cared for by someone who loves them and is capable of handling their needs, all that worry melts away. I recommended Melissa to a coworker recently, and he was blown away by how awesome she was! Her personal touches are what make Melissa's services so special. Aside from the daily texts, she also took some hysterical pictures of my pets with costumes and left them as a holiday present. This is no fly by night operation- Melissa takes her responsibilities seriously, and works with local rescue organizations and trainers to hone her knowledge. She is a bona fide business owner, and she is VERY good at what she does. Again, I cannot recommend this womans services strongly enough. I just wish I knew more people in the area to whom I could refer her! I really urge you to use her services- youll be glad you did!
I have used a number of trainers for other rescue doggies. Stacey is totally different. My current rescue doggie was very fearful and pretty skittish. Stacey came to my house and worked with us for about 3 hours and I was absolutely amazed at the progress in that short amount of time. He is more of a dog psychologist, rather than a typical trainer. He understands what the dog is afraid of and gets him to understand how to be calm and listen to what you are asking of him. By the time he was gone he was a different doggie altogether. He learned to hear what I am saying to him and to realize that I am in command, not him. By the time he left he was walking with me and not running in front, stopping when I stopped. He was not running out of the house and staying when I told him to. He definitely now realizes I am the leader of the pack, not him.
One of the best dog training companies I have ever worked with. We have three German Shepherd's and give all the credit for their AMAZING off-leash obedience skills to Jackie and her team at LVK9.
The most wonderful experience. It's very hard to find a trainer for a working dog, especially a service dog. My German shepherd Denali is now a official service dog through training by Sterling Ridge K9. He's my whole world, and I'm so blessed. Kristina changed my life and gave me my confidence to go out again and feel safe through my boy. I had been needing a service dog for a few years but I couldn't afford thousands to train with a society or any trainer wasn't capable or offering it. We are getting back out there! Thank you so much for everything.
Our Belgian Malinois, Sophie, was 11 months old and a very active dog when we contacted Ken at Taggs K9 for her pulling on leash and leash aggression. Sophie spent 3 weeks with Ken and his pack. I felt very comfortable knowing that Sophie was in a caring, safe environment. His video updates showed us the progress she was making daily. At the end of 3 weeks, Ken brought Sophie to our house and worked with us demonstrating Sophie's new skills and how to use her new collars when walking her and reinforcing her new found good manners! She is now such a well behaved family member and is training to be a service dog. We take her everywhere and get many compliments on her good behavior. Thank you so much, Ken, for bringing out the best in Sophie!
Very good working knowledges of dogs. It was not rushed he took his time and did not push my 6 month old Doberman puppy. While training he still let him be a puppy and figure things out. I was was pleased with our first meeting and the outcome. Would highly recommend Luis to anyone
