I have played every kind of gig in every style from bars, festivals, and production shows, to corporate gigs and recording sessions.
For the last 5 years I have been playing Fremont Street in the band Spandex Nation.
I have been teaching since 2004 and have even transcribed over a dozen guitar and bass song books published by Hal Leonard.
I teach on Skype or in person, in my Las Vegas based home studio.
Using my professional experience, I teach the guitar as a whole.
The ultimate goal is to be able to play any song and create the sounds you imagine in your head, and I teach how the guitar and music work, so you can get there!
My lessons are custom tailored to each students needs.
No two people learn exactly the same way, and your learning experience should reflect that, in a positive way!
I also provide 90% of all lesson material. Diagrams, examples, transcriptions (sheet music) are all included.
I love those lightbulb moments. When I can see that new information is making sense to my students, that's the reason I teach!

Been with Nick for one month and he has been great. He has taken me help me to correct errors in my fingering and is stressing the importance of structure in how I practice daily. He breaks down music theory in a way you can understand. I'm am truly enjoying working with Nick and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to get into playing guitar!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $50 per weekly hour lesson. I teach out of my home studio to keep prices down. I stay quite busy, so traveling to my students isn't an option. If you were to compare my prices with shops around the city, you would see that I'm about half the price of most shops. I offer a more personalized experience, free material, a typically a more flexible reschedule policy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss your goals, availability, and then we start! It's pretty straightforward.
There are no sign-up fees or forms. No contracts. I ask that my students pay monthly by cash, card, or zelle and offer a 24 hour cancelation/reschedule policy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended universities for formal music training, but most of your real learning has to come from intensely studying books and playing gigs. I feel that this perspective is good for a student to understand. You have to be ready to do the work.
