I called Vic on the Saturday before Mother's Day to see if he could remove and dispose of 2 satellite dish's. I was surprised when he said he could and was available to come out the next day on Sunday at 9:00 AM, which was Mothers Day. Vic showed up on time, did great work which was over and above my expectations! After removing the dish's he filled the holes with caulking, added exterior stucco patch and painted over the areas. It looks great. Vic is very interesting, friendly and pleasant to talk to, and always with a great smile on his face. This will be the first of many projects for Vic, I highly give him a six star recommendation!

Greg was absolutely fantastic! I am a landlord and live in CA and needed to be able to trust someone to be able to come into the property using a lockbox and to take photos of the work being done since I couldn't be there to see it myself. Greg responds quickly to emails and phone calls and was able to get the work I needed done the next day. They patched some nail holes and painted, re-mounted an alarm sensor and fixed a closet door that had been broken off of its hinge. My new tenant told me that the sink was draining slowly and I was able to tell Greg and they were able to fix it while they were still there so I didn't have to have a plumber come out! What I am most impressed by is the re-caulking job they did on the bathtub. I didn't have high expectations that it could be salvaged and had previously had other quotes that there was just too much damage and the whole tub would need to be replaced! I couldn't believe the after photo Greg sent me...it looks like a brand new tub! I will absolutely use Greg again in the future and think that his price is very reasonable for everything that they can do. Thanks Greg!

I accepted Gil's proposal based on the fact that he mentioned he had no overhead, like the bigger, more corporate companies, and therefore could be more fairly priced around my budget. I was very specific about everything I wanted to do, during our meeting, and I even wrote down an agreement with a list of everything I expected. I mentioned that I would like to physically go along with him to buy paints and baseboards, when it came time. We agreed on 30% upfront and 70% upon proper completion of all listed work. I'll list my experiences by positives and negatives: -Positives: Gil is quick to respond to messages and texts, he offered ideas as to how we could tackle the project. He's got a gentle soul, and he's a nice and respectful person. Our agreement in summary: Pop corn removal/texture application, includes planning, equipment, materials, area prep, roll/finish texture (Orange Peel) Every ceiling removed of pop corn. Wallpaper Removal/Glass removal. Includes everything plus setup and cleanup. Interior House Painting, scrape, sand, patch holes, defects, roll/spray or brush all walls, and all ceilings removed of wallpaper. Everything included, except cost of paint (which we were going to buy together) Knocking down 2 walls, to open up the rooms (Kitchen and livingroom/diningroom installing baseboards around the whole house. I gave him 30% as agreed. The first issue is, some wallpapers weren't removedas agreed, in the dining room, they were painted over instead, and when i realized this, I brought it up to Gil. He did rectify the issue, but I was sore at the fact that it wasn't done properly the first time around. The kitchen wall wasn't torn down and opened as I requested, and Gil mentioned that there was a load bearing issue. I feel others have done this successfully, and he should have been able to offer a solution, instead, we turned it into a window/bar situation, (which added costs, because now I had to hire someone else to make a bar, and i wasn't given a break on the price) The job took a lot longer than I was promised. I Hired gil on May 5th, and it wasn't completed until around the 19th. The master bedroom wasn't all done to satisfaction, because of some unforeseen circumstances, and all the mirrors which I'd mentioned to be disposed off, are still in my garage, and I believe Gil has left it up to me to dispose of them, which wasn't our agreement The spray painting was good enough, but every single door frame has paint unevenly bleeding into its edges. I don't feel proper prep time was dedicated to the edges and lines. I've had to hire someone else to come paint the frames, to clean them up. The wallpaper removal was very impressive, and I bet time consuming. He removed all the wallpaper as requested, the only issue I see with that is, the surface wasn't smoothed out properly, and some areas on the wall especially towards the floor, are a little rough. Altogether, commendable work. The baseboards weren't painted before installation, and I wasn't informed that this would make it difficult to paint, in the future. Having hired someone else to do the painting, it costs so much more. The installation was fantastic, everything fits, and everything is smooth, and properly caulked and ready for painting. I was never told when the paints were bought, yet, i had to reimburse for the purchases, and I still haven't found any of the cans. -The closets weren't prepped properly, and have uneven paint lines going to them, and at the corners and edges, the pop corn texture still shows. I think if they were not going to paint the closets, they should have covered it properly. Although some things were left in less than good condition, for the most part, everything was done beautifully, we didn't go over my budget, but we also took short cuts on some things that were agreed, mostly because I felt they took a little longer than I'd hoped, and by the end of it all, I was just ready for them to be done, so I could get back to my life. Overall, I'm satisfied with the job that was done, for the budget.

While trying to replace my old kitchen countertops, I was looking for a professional to do the job. At the same time, I needed some advise on what kind of countertops I should get. I got a few estimates from different people. I decided to go with Heber right after speaking with him and getting quality tips on the product. Heber and his crew performed an outstanding job in my kitchen. I am very happy with the quality of the product and installation. I would recommend Granit Countertop Services to everyone who is looking to get a professional job and a piece of mind.

This Jim is a gem of a handyman! I had him working for me intermittently over a period of almost a year on a large variety of projects related to getting my home ready to put up for sale. He also did home maintenance and odd jobs that required tall ladders and a tall strong smart guy. I always had him working on an hourly basis, which allowed me to change my mind on any given day that he was working here regarding the priority for the day, and to add or subtract things to get done as they came to my mind. Jim was extremely tolerant and adaptable to changes in my plans and priorities, and to helping me with whatever I needed done if it was within his skill set. It made me so happy to see several large projects as well as countless small tasks and annoyances that had been on my ‘to do’ lists for years .... get DONE, and get done well. The largest project he worked on was transforming a few hundred feet of my 15 year old chipped, dinged, beat up floor baseboards into looking new and snow white again; he accomplished this by selective sanding, touch-up painting, and re-caulking. Ditto with walls and doors and shelves. He repaired and then applied texture to make a fist-sized hole in the drywall completely invisible. Only the walls of the bedroom that my teenage son had inhabited needed to be completely repainted, and he accomplished that quickly and professionally. He re-caulked sinks and tubs and showers and toilets. He did some grout fill-in repairs on my travertine marble floor tiles. He has an artistic eye, and he was a wonderful help in hanging mirrors and framed artwork that had resided on the carpet or in closets for many years, and now added beauty to my home. He was equally helpful with outdoor projects including stucco repair and painting. Jim was also hugely helpful to me with multiple storage unit projects, building shelving units, taking them down to move somewhere else, rebuilding them into a different configuration, loading heavy bins and boxes onto the top shelves of even 72” high units. He has a reliable SUV if you need things moved between your home and a storage unit, or if you want him to drop off things for donation or recycling. Jim is 100% trustworthy, easy-going, pleasant and fun to work with. He shows up on time, and ready to work. I would blurt out a list of 20 new things that needed to get done, and then he organized his work time to make best use of his time, and of my time availability if needed. I had no reservation whatsoever about paying him on an hourly basis because he worked at the appropriate pace that the job required, and he often thought of time and cost saving short cuts that got the job done with the materials at hand, and without reducing the necessary level of quality. He has a great work ethic. He keeps everything clean as he works, and then he always cleans up after himself before he leaves. On a multi-day project, he organized and left his tools and materials here at the house to save time and money. It was gratifying to me to see that in the months since I wrote my original recommendation for Jim on our west-side neighborhood online community, that he was hired by many other neighbors, and received glowing reviews from them as well. Bottom line: with Jim's capable help, the condition and beauty of my home was restored, and I was able to sell my house at a price very close to the asking price.

They were very professional, and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. I'm very impressed with their work! They replaced a ceiling fan, caulked a patio door, fixed two doors, and many other tasks that needed to be done. I'm going to have them come out again to finish things up once the rest of my materials come in. Thanks Las Vegas Handyman Services!

We had just finished a remodel and all baseboards needed to be caulked as we own a single story and we're concerned about pests. From experience I knew caulking was not easy as it had to be done right for it to look seamless and time consuming so I Hired Chris from Helping Hands and he did a great job at a reasonable price. He was also able to help me with another small project while he was over and everything worked out great. I would recommend Chris and will hire again.

About

I've been doing construction for over 40 years. Most of my experience is working with masonry, including tile work. Part of the finishing includes caulking joints that, for one reason or another, cannot be filled with grout. While the tile and grout last for extensive periods, the caulk requires replacing periodically. I hope to provide this service for homeowners who wish to have this done but do not wish to do it themselves. I will also caulk areas other than tile, such as tubs, sinks, countertops, windows, doors, etc.
