He removed an old air conditioner from my wall which involved cutting it out of the wall, installing new plywood and insulation, spackling and sanding the interior, and installing vinyl siding on the exterior. He worked efficiently, provided the receipt for the materials, cleaned up and moved all garbage to the curb for pickup, and I can't even tell from the outside that there was ever a hole. He also responded quickly to my request, remained in his estimated budget, finished in the time period he quoted, and was very polite and professional. I'll contact him again as other jobs come up. I recently hired Benji to do a few repairs in our apartment. I was hoping to find a skilled plumber / handyman who could re-caulk our bathtubs, and fix a broken drain switch. We also asked him to replace the wheel on our balcony sliding screen door. 2 of the repairs (the drain switch and the wheel for the screen door) were done well and we’ve had no issues since. However the bathroom caulking has left me very disappointed. The job had to be done twice due to basic mistakes done the first time and the results aren’t looking very professional in the end (no use of tape, approximate cleaning leaving some debris and bubbles). Despite the hourly rate promoted on the page, I was charged a flat fee based on the estimate of the work to be done. For that price I was hoping for something more professional than DIY. With that said, Benji was courteous, obliged to come back when I called him to let him know the first round of caulk was peeling within 1 day and tried his best to do a good job the second time.
