FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every service is quoted individually based on the number of people, meals, and dietary preferences. Pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees. Groceries are billed separately at cost. Weekly and recurring clients may qualify for discounted rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to keep the process simple and organized. Before our first service, we'll have a quick 10-minute walkthrough of your kitchen so you can show me where everything is located and point out any preferences or special equipment. For every first visit to a new kitchen, I schedule an additional hour to familiarize myself with the space, organize my workflow, and ensure everything is set up efficiently. This allows me to cook more smoothly and leave your kitchen clean, organized, and easy for you to use afterward. Before your scheduled cooking session, we'll agree on the menu and I'll send you a shopping list. Once your groceries have been delivered or are ready in your kitchen, I'll arrive with my own essential equipment and prepare your meals efficiently. I'll portion and label meals if requested, thoroughly clean my workspace, and leave your kitchen neat and ready for everyday use. Future visits are typically faster since I'll already be familiar with your kitchen, equipment, and preferences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have several years of hands-on cooking experience, with a strong focus on meal preparation, Mediterranean, Italian, and Eastern European cuisine. I continuously improve my skills through professional culinary resources, recipe development, and extensive practical experience. I also follow strict food safety and sanitation practices and am committed to providing organized, reliable, and high-quality service in every client's home. I hold the NYC Food Protection Certificate and follow professional food safety and sanitation standards.
